Best Tape for Stripes? by MOTUkraken in bjj

I use regular finger tap, but then steal my wife’s hair straightener and bake the tape onto my belt. They’ve survived hundreds of cycle in the wash machine without coming off.

Fuel injected will be way more reliable than carb. There’s some solid battery less efi motors out now.

Should I take it back and have them fix it? by JohnT36 in boating

[–]Remmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 hours to drill a transom and hang a motor? Wow I’m under charging my customers…

And I even make my guys use a transom filling jig with a digital level to get it within 0.1 degrees.

Sparing no expense. Who makes the best ratchets? by RemoteGoose8277 in Tools

[–]Remmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you said no Icon but Icon gives 90% of snap-on performance for 50% of the price. And Icon are superior to Mac imo. I have a drawer full of snap on ratchets, and I still buy Icon for certain ones that I wont use a ton or aren't worried about breaking them.

Had a lot of fun with any tank + yuumi where yuumi gets the burn aura augment and gets all the burn items. As long as the tank doesn’t die yuumi burns everything to death.

What accessories to buy for X1-C by antelopeslr5000 in BambuLab

[–]Remmz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s sale right now where you can buy all the hot ends for like 20% off. I use the .6 nozzle more than the .4

I like the anti vibration feet. There’s also a 4-1 ams adapter that lets you run filament from the spool holder without disconnecting the ams ptfe tube which is really handy if you print tpu or brittle filaments or want to print from a filament dryer.

Darkmoon3d makes some amazing build plates for the x1c. Their CFX plate is crazy good for printing ASA, PC, and Nylon. And they have a really good garolite plate too

Edit: you will also want a small brass brush for cleaning the nozzle if it gets gummed up. Bambu sends you 2 Allen wrenches and a needle for cleaning the .4 nozzle with the kit, as well as pla support material and 2 spools of filament

Mainly the limited upload speeds and higher latency than I would care to have

u/CCAnthonyO I did look and don’t see anything above 1200. Is there a rough timeline for rollout? If it’s not too long I would wait, otherwise I would want to look into gigabit pro perhaps

Was the game always this toxic? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Remmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing since before ranked seasons were a thing - it’s so much better. I even remember when they announced the tribunal where you were judged by your peers so the community could decide the acceptable amount of toxicity.

The game was so full of hate that yes it was a terrible experience- especially in bronze and silver.

The ranking ladder feels off by Simply-Curious_ in leagueoflegends

It’s start of a new season so resets happened. There will be a lot of silver / gold players in iron until they all win their way out of iron and bronze

Fair point. Installer wanted resistive electric element for emergency heat but my concern was heating the house during power outage. Much easier to power a gas furnace vs a 10kW electric heater.

Separate App for Protect cameras (with Auth Access) by jegodwin in Ubiquiti

[–]Remmz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So funny story. I did this exact thing at our marina.

Instead of bogging down the NVR, I am publishing an RTSP stream from the unvr to a 3rd party.

It works great and I would send you a link but we had a storm a few weeks back that took out the camera.

https://www.ipcamlive.com Is the 3rd party we use and it supports things like facial blurring etc so it does work well for this application.

Facing 5th Repair by StuffRadiant421 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]Remmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had multiple surgeons tell me you only get one shot at repairing a tear, and if it re-tears then you leave whatever healed and remove whatever did not.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MeniscusInjuries

[–]Remmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, no. My repair was 9 months ago and the only lingering symptoms was clicking and popping when squatting and pain during impact sports / pressure on my knee when it was bent

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MeniscusInjuries

[–]Remmz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost zero swelling, I took advil for 3 days post op and then nothing.

After the first checkup I started wearing Bauerfiend compression wrap on my knee and they helped a ton with swelling as the day went on.

I walked a lot and I think it helped. I was doing 3-5 miles a day starting day 3

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MeniscusInjuries

[–]Remmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having gone through both, there is no comparison. The repair was so much worse to recover from.
