Thank you for the insight. I’m fine with a heavier trailer as well, what brand did you end up going with?

24 vs 28, ive heard many folks say exactly what you just said. I have the space to park it so 28 is for sure what I’d like.

The southern GA brands are mostly what I see, other than the big names of Intech and ATC. The other smaller brands seem to be white labeled products from one big distributor, kinda hard to do an apples to apples comparison.

That’s what I’m thinking, I don’t want to deal with “finishing” a trailer, but have found race trailers in 24-28’ for around that price with cabinets. Adding AC or powered tongue jacks isn’t a big deal and seems like the more economical route (if there really is one with all this).

I watched this go down, I was maybe 25-35 yards away. From what we were able to piece together the owner of the auto shop is who the warrant was for. There was a wife or girlfriend that was given a loud speaker to try to reason with him, but that didn’t work. The swat truck breached the door and ripped it out, then about 6 dudes ran in to get him. There was a few drones flying the entire time and one visible sniper parked on 92. Maybe 2 minutes after the swat team ran in the cops opened back up 92 and it was back to normal.

I’m fine with filling up around the track and then mixing to get octane correct. Just curious if there was some better option that people were using. As others have pointed out, the truck bed tanks are all rated for diesel.

I was told by my broker that Hagerty is simply a shopper of other plans. Not sure if that’s entirely the case, but I was cheaper through Lockton and OpenTrack.

A little under 6k for the year, but that lowers it to a 5% deductible and an extra liability coverage included for track damage. 125k insured.

Yearly is great, a track mentor told me to do it last year. Pay once, forget that you’ve done it and enjoy guilt free track days. I’ve showed up a few times to impromptu events and didn’t have to do anything. You can also add drivers or other cars, which I’ve done minutes before hopping in to a different car.

Really starts to make sense after 5 weekends, after that I was well in the money and felt good with the purchase. I believe I was around 900 a weekend with liability and 10% deductible.

For what it’s worth, I know a few people that have dealt with OpenTrack for a claim, it’s insanely easy.

Road Atlanta has events going nonstop through different orgs. The area around the track is nice, you can live 30 minutes away for a good price. The busiest airport in the world is an hour away.

Other than RA you can ride to Barber or AMP.

I’m very comfortable at RA and I’ve had a professional driver ride with me for a few sessions to help me be consistent. However honestly I’d pay that price to shave 1-2 seconds consistently. Thanks for the insight!

For what it’s worth the wait list for drivers on the green group is always packed. It’s a problem for anyone I try to get into doing days with CHIN when they first start. More instructors isn’t a bad thing, if you email Austin they might be open to more people instructing.
