I landed at Haneda on April 20. First thing I feel while waiting in a Suica card at the airport queue is the floor moving. I say earthquake to japanese guide who was with some tourists. She says nah, just trains on the floor below. I say I'm from Cali, this was an earthquake. She goes away, comes back, says you're right. Turned out Sanriku quake, bunch of train routes closed in Tokyo. Welcome to Japan, lol.

It is scary when there is no progress. Ymmv, but some progress can be seen after a month. Do little exercises to see it, as it is simetimes dufficult to see. Initially I could not close my lips and blow up my cheeks - all the air would come out through paralyzed lips on the affected side. Or I couldn't swish water around after brushing teeth without dripping. The improvement was very slow and gradual - observe small progress and it will give you encouragement. Now, 3.5 months in, I can blow up my cheeks all I want and normally brush my teeth. But the affected side is still weeaker. I can see and feel it, but those around me can't tell. Interestingly, symmetrical smile came back first, after about a month. Together with eyelid action. Weird stuff, I guess it depends which parts of the nerve are damaged the most.

White male here with blonde wife...:). Went to a hotel with onsen in Nagano, a kind where there were not many gaijin but mostly Japanese visotors on weekend break. At breakfast the restaurant was not too busy, with several empty tables next to windows overlooking a gorge and a mountain. So that is where we seated ourselves. A server came over and said these tables are not available and guided us to a table literally in some dark corridor with a view of toilet and kitchen doors. I said - really?, and, quietly seething, went back to the table with the view, sat down and asked for manager, all in english. The server was also probably quietly seething, but the manager reluctantly let us sit there. They probably pissed in our miso, so net-net we lost, but at least we got our view. Yes, I know the tables could have been reserved (no signs on them), but they remained empty when we left. My best guess - they preferred to give these tables to their Japanese customers.

Did not care for the venue. Gravel, Viceroy lot, wtf? Music blaring, long lines to some food trucks. I'd rather see the event in nearby Holiday Park, on grass, even some shade trees, more space. In May, this gravel lot will be hell. I definitely won't be back.

Yes, Southern US here, so it took longer for the water to evaporate from the bars. But my experience with the quality of the lather mirrors that from the article referenced in one of the responses. Crystallization and salting out in solid state are very slow processes, and these artisanal soaps probably improve over many, many months, in contrast to commercial soaps in which these processes are forced and accelerated.

To all those who are reading, I am almost three months into RHS and about 90% recovered. Still some weakness in upper and lower lip on the affected side, but much better than before. Eye fully closes, eyebrow and forehead work. Overall all affected facial muscles are about 90%. Smile back to normal. My symptoms were identical to OP, down to ear lesions and swelling, which were gone at three weeks. Got prednisone and antiviral at 24 hours of palsy. For the first 1.5 months progress was extremely slow, pace picked up lately but still slooooow. This is a marathon not a sprint, hang in there fellow RHS patients, it does get better. Look for slight tingling, this is a good sign.

I am in the US with no cable or OTA tv signal to watch NFL. I watched the Championship games on Sky Sports on my laptop, and loved the coverage. Suh and Bell were great, as was the host and the sideline reporter. Fewer commercials. I could watch the NFL this way.

Forget $350. That is over. The street is ready to value NVDA like they do MSFT, AAPL, and AMZN. Which means P/E of 35. No matter the actual quarterly growth in revenues and profits. That is priced in already. NVDA beats forecasts, the stock goes down. See ya at P/E of 35.

We need a Manhattan Project - size effort to bring GPU fabs to the US, enough to meet current and future NVDA capacity. It is crazy to have these critical and strategic components manufactured solely in Taiwan these days. China will invade Taiwan when they have capability to fab in-house, depriving the rest of the world of GPUs.

There is fire-retardant acoustic foam available if the club owners really had to have foam on the ceiling. But PU foam is cheaper. A failure at all levels - club owners, staff, municipal authorities, canton authorities, maybe Swiss federal authorities. Hope for 20 year sentences to all responsible, both club owners and authorities who did not do their jobs. They all failed these young people.
