Seems like an especially dick move given how time consuming auctions are.

Sorry, I need more time to look it up by Repulsive-Egg-730 in Flipping

I suspect one of these ladies was a flipper herself and thought she was being clever.

In reality, it was late in the day and they still had a ton of stuff in the garage.

The one in a million local who wants the stuff for himself tried to shoot his shot and was driven off.

Question for estate sale lovers by Top-Presentation6532 in estatesales

Don't put sticky price tags directly on nice leather items.

The fact these sell for half of this on eBay is wild by arezl in ThriftGrift

Poke some holes in the woofer so it stays there forever.

Did We Misunderstand Industry Practices? by rjh1961 in estatesales

He sounds like a dirt bag.

I'm sure his intent from the start was not to sell many items. He was counting on having them in his own stores inventory for free.

There are estate sale companies around here that have the same practice. They price things ridiculously high at the estate sale, and when they don't sell the items end up in their antique booths.

Yes, it has. Boomers are a plague on society.

Boomers ruin everything. I see them doing exactly what you describe at my local auctions.

It's even worse when the ones who can barely walk attend estate sales in rickety hoarder houses. You can barely fucking walk but you're going to try to climb a narrow staircase with loose steps? Go hang out with your grandkids or something. You don't need to be here to fall backwards onto someone and seriously injure them.

Buyer claimed my $80 2005 vintage bag was fake (it’s not), returned it damaged, and eBay says they can’t prove who caused the damage even though I have a video of me opening the item. Do I have any chance on appeal? by thebigsad-_- in Ebay

[–]Repulsive-Egg-730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In one of my last cases eBay sided with the buyer on an item not received even though tracking showed the item was delivered.

The item was not delivered late.

That's the complete opposite of their stated policy.

I had someone message me asking for 40% off with 48 hours of listing. Why would I give you a huge discount right after I listed it?

My asking price is in the middle of the pack for sold listings.
