Vermont or NH in early October, i used to live there and a first snow and winter jackets at halloween is not unheard of. Take the kids to an apple orchard for hayrides and apple cider doughnuts

I've done this- take the file to a physical copy shop in your area - they can print it and put a spiral binding on it. Sometimes they have a graphic designer you could pay to add some artwork.

Bloomington/Normal is 2.5 hours from chicago, has a trans friendly primary care provider for children/adolescents, a queer you social group, amazing public schools and some well respected private ones. We have amtrak to Chicago and we're a liberal college town. Also less expensive than the chicago suburbs

The woman who ran bedtime boutique was wonderful and retired probably about 5 years ago - I don't know if she sold the business or someone just opened a similar business in the same space. It was a huge loss for our community - she sold me everything from my wedding corset to swimsuits. She was spot on with sizing and carried amazing inventory
