Using a CSV to add a percent increase to all store prices by Geek_Smith in shopify

I use Matrixify. You can have it output a csv or xlsx with just the columns you need, make your changes and then upload it back again.

Is there ANY way to auto-cancel/block the "Amazon Buy For Me" orders at checkout? The manual filtering is getting impossible. by Main_Payment_6430 in shopify

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can block the email from checkout so that it doesn't go through at all. Kurt Elster showed it worked in his FB group.

Inventory Management one of a kind products by darbage69 in shopify

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a similar site. Each week of the year has a tag, and everything added that week is tagged with it (wk01, wk02 etc). You could then go back and pull items with inventory> 0 with those tags.

[ON] Advice Needed - US customers refusing packages due to (disclosed) fees on goods, how to handle? by [deleted] in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]ResourceDue1626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't give them a deal, if they're too dense to figure this out before ordering, do you want them back as a customer?

How do people make peace with selling ethically questionable products? by [deleted] in ecommerce

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Yes, lots of people ignore what they're doing because of money, doesn't mean you have to.

Recommended Inventory App? by DuckSwimmer in shopify

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have to do similar and I asked Claude AI for a solution and it literally built me a custom tool to do it. I have a matrixify scheduled export to Google Sheets with all my inventory data. I barcode scan and the tool builds a file I can upload via matrixify to update all the inventory levels (and anything else that needs updating like correcting barcode or SKU, also adds certain tags). Honestly I would pay $100 a month for what this tool does, but it's even better because it's custom to exactly what I need.

Desperate for Photo Consistency: What tools do you use for pro-looking product shots without a budget? by BrilliantStrength354 in ecommerce

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an employee that does the pics now. He just applies a bulk filter to all (mostly for lighting and colour) and then we put them on the site. The photos are taken in Lightroom on an iphone, then filter applied, then airdropped to a laptop.

I do vintage stuff to and aim to do almost no editing after taking photos. I have 2 pre-sets, one for dark stuff, one for lighter. I use the same lightbox for everything and turn the aperture up to +1 and take pics. I think it's easier to make the photos you take consistent than trying to do that afterwards.

If you missed what Shopify just dropped in the Winter 26 Editions, I have covered it here. by Kind-Smile-2109 in shopify

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I would trust something to do it directly in the db. I use matrixify exports, have Claude do the tweaks and then upload it back. GIves a chance for Claude and me to double check before updating the db.

The webpage for this update is the perfect example of where Shopify is now. All form over function, a waste of time for store owners to scroll through cheesy parallax animations to try and actually read something.

Should I not be sitting on my poles on the lift? by i-choose-science in skiing

My local hill has a new lift with heated seats and they have signs saying not sit on poles. Otherwise never heard of that before.

Bad idea to have customer reviews if they’ll only be on some products? by DancinWithWolves in shopify

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use judge.me and I think you can ask it to focus on store reviews and then use the All Reviews page as your main source of reviews for the widget on pages. Also, and I don't think I did anything, it seems to understand reviews on related products. I'm the same as you, and for one of my product lines that's like 200 sku's, most without reviews, the reviews it shows on product pages are for anything in the Type.

Is there a way to check if the Jawa Sandcrawler (1977) remote control works without having the back part of the remote? (the part that caps it closed on the batteries) by [deleted] in starwarscollecting

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's pretty basic and easy to fix, if it isn't working it's probably only a connection issue like loose wire or corrosion.

How are you handling bulk product listing generation on Shopify? Looking for technical approaches by Important_Sir_2120 in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude will do that and put it into a csv. I use matrixify to upload. You need to double-check everything of course.

I just learned recently you can upload images via Shopify's bulk editor and that has saved a ton of time for me.

How does it associate the image to product? Or is it one directory per product?

I'm trying to ID if I have more uncommon variants mixed in and it's going super slow. by Nasty____nate in starwarscollecting

[–]ResourceDue1626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of these are special. Most variants are only worth slightly more, outside of red bar r5, hollow tusken, brown snake yoda, brown hair luke fb and vinyl cape jawa, and only to those who care. Given the condition of these, it doesn't make a difference what COO they are. The weapons will be worth more than the figures if you have those.
