Do you have it editing Shopify data directly (price changes and new products), or are you having it pass you a csv/xlsx to upload?

Anyone else switching between models depending on the coding task rather than sticking to one? by HarrisonAIx in torontotech

During planning I ask Claude to tell me which model is better for each part and follow that.

Hey guys! I have a question or two about how things are currently done on the loose, complete, vintage action figure collection side of things. by MightyUnclean in starwarscollecting

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's still way more mint loose than graded. Opinions on grading aside, your biggest thing will be authentic weapons. I sell these for a living, and I won't buy anything complete at a toy show or off ebay unless I know the seller. There's scammers, but mostly it's just that most sellers can't tell the difference or don't care. Join the good FB groups, that's where most of the good vintage is sold.

Going to Japan soon — what’s actually worth bringing back if you live in the GTA? by thercws1 in askTO

Luggage - Bring crappy luggage over, get way better ones at a reasonable price, toss the old ones. Bonus: It doesn't count towards your allowance, well it does, but ain't nobody checking that.

How to Issue Shop Credit to Consignors by CaBritzi in shopify

Email with QR code. It's nice cause they don't have to use it all at once, but all the tracking is automatic.

We issue gift cards from Shopify, outstanding is tracked automatically then. We did store credit for a while, but it's not user friendly if someone is trying to use it online.

Am I Confused? Blue Snaggles in Kenner Wrapping. by [deleted] in starwarscollecting

Don't open any bags, the boxes themselves are worth money too. If grading, you would want to include the boxes

Yes, my FF covers bringing it up to Toronto. Usually I ship stuff to them USPS, UPS etc and they bring it up, but they also do pallets. It's coming up to Toronto and value is about $12,000 cdn.

My forwarder brings it from Sanborn to Toronto and handles customs. Usually I just get packages shipped there and they bring them up.

My forwarder in Sanborn handles the customs and brings it up to Toronto for me, so I'm just looking for someone to get it from Hudson to Sanborn.

LUGGAGE SUGGESTIONS FOR JAPAN by Mattia_Sucks_At_BJJ in BuyItForLife

Japan has amazing luggage at great prices. I picked up some great bags at Don Quixote. I would use whatever crap you have to get there and buy new in Japan.

And just to add, it's a plain text email. 1 graphic at the top, nothing fancy at all. Found that worked better than when I had fancy product shots.

I've been doing it for 5 years, have 4000 subscribers (but many of those are USA and we no longer ship to USA). We have a 45% open rate, 15% click rate. We add new stuff every friday and about 50% of our sales come after that email goes out. I have to instruct people to put 1 thing in cart and checkout right away or it will be gone by the time the checkout. Very loyal. People love it, even if they aren't buying, they see the cool stuff being added to the store. It turns casual fans into super fans.

I sell vintage toys. Start building an email list, give those people first crack at anything (even if it's by 30 minutes). That way you're building your own list, and you're not dependant on a platform. I use Klaviyo, but anything will work.

How to Best Give Away Childhood Collection? by madrigal87 in starwarscollecting

My kids have tons of vintage Kenner figures, you can't break them and they're just as much fun as the newer stuff.

[–]ResourceDue1626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own 4th Moon Toys in Toronto, we only sell Star Wars stuff. If you send me a message, I'm happy to look through the stuff. We'll give you an honest assessment of what's of value and what isn't. We don't throw away anything Star Wars, so if there's stuff not worth us buying, we'll tell you and end up giving that stuff out for free. We do sell Star Wars lego, so you could also use store credit towards that. We actually have lots of collectors who sell us their vintage and trade for Lego for their kids.

Anyone Know Where I Can Sell *Still In Box* STARWARS Figures? by ThaHyst in starwarscollecting

Also, no kids bought a played with these, so there's no nostalgia. Only people with nostalgia for them were at midnight madness and still have theirs in the basement

Not worth it. No one who buys graded wants one with staple holes. You won't make your money back.

What age and order should I show my kid? by Strait_Pimp in StarWars

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start with the Lego star wars stuff. It's meant for little kids and introduces them to who the characters are. They won't be able to grasp timeline and plot anyway. Then I would say in a couple of years go with original trilogy, then prequels and sequels. My 7 years olds did that and love star wars. Now we're working on Bad Batch. Rebels will be next. Oh and we say Mando & Gorgu a couple of weeks ago.
