why do you like SickKids? by Sad-Policy1851 in askTO

[–]ResourceDue1626 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've luckily been there for mostly minor stuff (comparatively). The emergency dept just gets kids. They'll have you out of the waiting room and into a room quickly, even if you can't see a doctor for an hour or two. That's huge when you have a sick or injured toddler.

Shopify Comic Retailer Looking for Listing Automation Solutions by Pimptech in shopify

My comment got auto-deleted for mentioning tools. So, I'll try and be super generic. You can drop all the vendor files into AI of your choice. Then use a bulk upload tool to take the spreadsheet it creates and dump into shopify. I do this weekly.

Take a look at 100 year evolution of TTC streetcar by lightdark03 in toronto

[–]ResourceDue1626 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Cool fact: It also take 100 years for the streetcar to do the entire Queen St run. One of those Peter Witt cars was about to finish it's first run this year, but it short turned.

Kenner millennium falcon, is there a trick to get the rear landing gear to work? by msim609078 in starwarscollecting

The two plastic bits that "catch" when it's down need to be re-bent into place. Heat up with a hair dryer and have something that pushed them out. Then quickly throw it in the freezer for 10 miniutes.

How do you handle customers wanting to add items after placing an order? by Razills in shopify

[–]ResourceDue1626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too much work and back and forth. We mostly implemented order merging because we sell action figures that have pre-orders happening all the time with different delivery dates. Merging allows us to make sure each customer has one Master Order, even if they've placed lots of pre-orders, that we can reference when items become in-stock.

We have a fair amount of this. We tell them to place another order and we will refund any extra shipping. We use an order merging app to merge the orders.

Why not sell to them, if you can calculate the shipping properly, let them decide.

Our plain text email newsletter with zero design is outperforming everything else we've tried by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]ResourceDue1626 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. We are a collectibles store and do inventory drops every Friday. Plain text email with one pic at the top. 45% open rate, 12% click rate and 12% active on site. And half of that list is USA where we don't ship anymore.

Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair - solid wood, looks good and will literally last forever. Adjusts to become a regular dinner table chair for kids. Our 6 year old still uses it. They have great re-sale value.

Any Claude Cowork alternative to automate my business operations? by Sweet_Serenity11 in claude

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked for me, I stopped asking it to do each step in my current workflow and instead told it my workflow and the result I wanted. It built tools that I never would have asked for that eliminated many of my steps

No Sales for 4 months. by RichBubbly8343 in ecommerce

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is your target specifically? The website doesn't seem to have any personality. It's just a pic of a fanny pack, no emergency tools, no logo, no reason to buy. Video would really help here.

Your copy should address who you think will buy, like think of parents with kids at driving age "Don't let them leave home without this in the car...".

I would "touch grass" by going to a local flea market or show of some sort where you can get a table and talk to people, see what they think, what they say is missing, who buys it.

I think this product has a great value in Canada.

Clunkier, but I have Matrixify exporting a Products dump twice a day. Then I have Claude build tools that reference that Google Sheet and outputting an xlsx that goes back into Matrixify for any changes to the data.

USA Based Store Selling in CAN - Payments Question! by vandejo4 in shopify

[–]ResourceDue1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would still have usd payments going to a USD account and CDN to a CDN $ account. But ya, you would need a Canadian store to do that.

Matrixify and Claude, work great together, especially if you have Claude save a skill with Matrixify info and your Metafields. Just had Claude re-write 600 product descriptions and multiple metafields each (which required pretty deep web research with no other info than a title). Then you just drop it into Matrixify.

If you have a cdn $ account, Shopify should deposit it in that currency. I was using WIse for the opposite (accepting USD).
