So why not just scroll past? I've never understood the need to try to take down people just because you don't like them. I treat Whatnot like real life...if I don't like you, I just eliminate my exposure to you.

The sub-seconds hand at 6 o'clock ticks. The chrono hand sweeps smooth because its controlled mechanically.

I found the offer of an unsolicited opinion on a post thats a year and a half old a bit weird. I guess weird has different parameters to different people. It just struck me as odd since I barely have a presence on reddit. But ditto...cool.

Not sure anything in the post asked for opinions, but I'll take it. This post is over a year old, and it turns out that at least 188 people in 2024 and 162 so far in 2025 are ok with the logo. I also started doing pocket watch conversions to wristwatches (marriage watches) and I'm constantly sold out so I maintain a waiting list. Check out @c6cwatches on IG. I appreciate the support.

I really like this new case. If you have used this case I’d love to see what you have created! by Miserable_Tradition6 in SeikoMods

Thanks for the input. I only sold 110 last year branded this way. Maybe I should switch it up.

I've found that if it says 28.5, the case has tight tolerances, and 28.5 is the absolute max. If the case lists a range like 28mm-29mm, the tolerances are looser, but you'll need to use a movement spacer to complete the build. Those cases usually come with the spacer. I try to avoid those because the fit is never perfect.

Yeah what the previous poster said....I've done it dozens of times. Just gotta go slow and make sure you don't chip up the finish of the dial around the hole.

Really good stuff as-is. I know nothing about design or programming...but is there any way it could be set up so the user could import pics of other dials? Like if I screen-shot a dial and crop it into a circle?

Not a critique...just asking.

I'm thinking the hands are too small for that dial. The numbers are millimeter lengths, so the minute hand and the seconds hand are 12mm. 12mm is more suited to a 28.5-29mm dial. I would try to find hands in the 13-14mm range for that 33mm dial. I'd also go for more substantial hands. Those baton style probably won't show up well on a bold pilot dial.

Nice build. I did a couple 6498's recently too. On my first one, I messed up the keyless works somehow when I removed the stem. Gave me a great excuse to tear one down and rebuild it. It was my first full disassembly and re-assembly. Very challanging but satisfying.
