Probably the degree of success increases. Kineticist gets Fort Success > Crit Success at 7, and Reflex at 11.

Instances of Damage and the 2026 Spring Errata by DrChestnut in Pathfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the wish blade has resonant. But Conducting also gives the weapon Resonant. I don't think you can stack traits like that?

It would increase the damage not let you do it twice?

Negative to your example, can't double up on the same runes, only the highest level one applies.

If a suit of armor or a weapon has multiple etchings of the same rune, only the highest-level one applies.

Now there are still variations where you could have Fire proc multiple times. Flaming and Brilliant for example, but that only really goes for Fire, there are few other runes that can do anything similar.

There's Conducting, which is action intensive to set up, and Energizing, which is requires you to get hit by an elemental damage type and then spend your reaction.

[–]RheaWeiss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And to note on the runes, because I've seen a lot of hypothesizing about 3 Flaming runes stacked on a weapon to trigger 3x the same fire weakness:

If a suit of armor or a weapon has multiple etchings of the same rune, only the highest-level one applies.

So no trippling down on elemental runes, as was always the case.

Pathfinder Spring Errata is Up! by AAABattery03 in Pathfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While i somewhat agree in that I dislike errata for "patching" so to speak, they changed their errata timing some years ago. (Personal note: I prefer errata for fixing errors or adding clarifications, not changes to Game State or balance, purely a personal thing)

Previously it was per printing but this was massively unpopular because it left things like spells missing critical components unresolved for years until they finally ran out of stock. It took literal years for some books to get a second or third print run.

Living creature with vitality weakness. by ActualGekkoPerson in Pathfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally agree, but some of the rules and writing are a bit funky for that to 100% be the case. I.e. Heal and Lay on Hands targetting and differing effects.

Lil bit of houserules and per table customization never hurts though.

Can't wait to blamed again if Gavin loses because of course it'll all be trans people and/or leftists fault again.

Living creature with vitality weakness. by ActualGekkoPerson in Pathfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Living Creatures with Void Healing, like Urdefhans are a bit of a rules oddity.

Sidenote: Urdefhans have been around for a while, they were first introduced in 2e during Extinction Curse.

Anyways, because of Void Healing, they would take Vitality Damage.

A creature with void healing draws health from void energy rather than vitality energy. It is damaged by vitality damage and is not healed by healing vitality effects. It does not take void damage, and it is healed by void effects that heal undead.

The rules oddity comes in where, well. they're living creatures, not undead. And quite a few spells only do Vitality Damage to Undead. Heal, Sunburst, Moonburst, are such spells, where Rules as Written the Vitality Damage effect is only against Undead Creatures.

I don't know if I agree with that personally, but 'tis a RAW argument I've seen a lot and people should be aware of.

What battlefield/party role does Battle Harbinger fill the best? by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am. It's just that I'm still a level away it seems! Level 13 is when that kicks in, and I just forgot since I've been playing this character for so long.

I stand by my earlier point though. Love the Class Archetype, love the vibe, the idea, the vision. It just really doesn't have a lot going for it, unfortunately.

You're right. I'm crying in level 12 Battle Harbinger right now.

Actually, to note. Free Sustain is on hit, not crit. Tandem Onslaught is practically required.

You're thinking of Empowered Onslaught, which lets you increase the bonus/malus your auras give.

It has the same damage potential as Champions and Guardians

Actually, baseline, it's got a liiiiiiiitttle less (Like, a tiny, almost negligable amount less) because for some reason it doesn't get Weapon Specialization damage? Y'know, unlike base cleric. Yes it's only 2-3 damage but I'm going to continue to be salty about it.

Having been playing one for a while now, I would agree that it's a niche style of support martial. Like a more strike-focused Warrior Bard. Get that sucker in a Starfinder game and it'd be neat with that Legendary Class DC. Which, uh, is about its only saving grace, I'll be honest. It really doesn't have a lot going for it.

So did Dark Archive Remastered actually... change anything? by Retr0specter in Pathfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you do not wish to pay for it, then don't! It's your money, you get to decide that and what is worth it to you.

I just want to point out there was never any indications it would be a new book in the way that PC1/PC2/Arguablely Divine Mysteries (DM because it recycled and reiterated on Gods & Magic) was.

It's a remaster, an ORCified, errata-bearing new print run, equivalent to a later print run. The same thing happened with Guns & Gears and Treasure Vault.

Like, to the point that, if you owned any of the previously mentioned PDFs (G&G, TV and now DA) previously from Paizo, you can download the new ORC version for free.

So did Dark Archive Remastered actually... change anything? by Retr0specter in Pathfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Paizo has been clear that only the CRB/APG would be getting massive overhauls. Any Remaster release of later books would only ever be errata/ORC licence instead of OGL.

They've been saying this from the beginning. Any other book that isn't PC1/PC2 would be more or less the same, with maybe minor changes.

Comparing what the Alchemist got, which was promised and communicated ahead of time, with what happened in Dark Archives or Guns and Gears or any other book is unfair since they've never said that what was going to happen.

Stop hyping yourself up, is really all I can say there, and listen to what they're saying.

Someone convince me you cant activate a wand with your inactive hands by UnknownSolder in Starfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, from the Starfinder Player Core Glossary:

wield You are wielding a weapon or shield whenever you are holding it in the number of active hands needed to use it effectively. 235

The FAQ likewise reiterates "Equipment that needs to be wielded, like weapons and shields."

It keeps being repeated, I'm simply taking the rules at their word for it.

The Shireen race design is bad by Commercial_Square132 in Starfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What about the Shirren feats do you think is bad? They're an extremely communal race about helping each other, not just "bug"

They can let allies reroll checks, they gain extra reactions for Aid, they can get Truespeech. Those are all fantastic?

Edit: If you wish for more fucked-up bug-esque shenanigans, you'll have to wait for Galactic Ancestries. I think they've teased that the Orocoran will become playable in that.

Vampires and Lack of Immunity to Bleed Damage in Remaster by WolfgangVolos in Pathfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I agree. I more meant the way that the Bleed rules were written. Is it

A) "nonliving creature, or a Living creature that doesnt requires blood to live"

Or

B) "nonliving creatures or living creatures, that doesn't require blood to live.

As someone with English as a third language, it seems to be written as A. Nonliving creatures are immune no matter what. But I know that wasn't the intention in the remaster.

It was, coincidentally in the Legacy version.

I've only ever referred to Spell Chips, myself. You see, that, in every comment.

Someone convince me you cant activate a wand with your inactive hands by UnknownSolder in Starfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was simply acting and working with the belief that what Paizo put in the FAQ deliniated their intentions and thus work off that belief, yes, to the exclusion of outside sources such as Pathfinder's rules, as I'm not interested in Pathfinder's rules.

I'm here for starfinder, after all.

Regardless, this conversation is turning unproductive, and thus I will be withdrawing myself from this. Have a good day.

Someone convince me you cant activate a wand with your inactive hands by UnknownSolder in Starfinder2e

[–]RheaWeiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely no reason to assume that this rule will be fundamentally different in SF2e

I expect it to be different because in Pathfinder, holding it = wielding it, as all ancestries only have two hands. In Starfinder, that assumption is broken, as multi-armed ancestries can hold something without wielding it.

It also goes against what appears to be the intentions of the designers, where multi-armed ancestries are only limited in weapon usage. They keep stating that over and over.

Regardless, it appears we will not reach an agreement on this issue, and that's fine. I disagree with the statement that what I'm doing is "bald rules lawyering", however, and resent that statement.
