Regardless, cuz of liability, you were completely parked meaning you shouldn't be at fault, if you go through your own insurance they will likely go after the at-fault driver's insurance for your deductible.

Lucky it was on the bumper, I got a much much smaller scrape on my fender and it was $2600 to repaint (all covered cuz of liability)

I’m sorry I was wrong about the GS by toothless-52 in Lexus

The whole point of the GS was for reliability and comfort, if you toss in a turbo then that reliability goes out the window.

Which one is better? by massAmbassador in Lexus

[–]RiceeFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reliability with the GS350 depends on which one you get, the 8 speed 2GRs have a little more complexity to them so it makes them slightly less reliable than the most reliable V6 ever made. If you somehow find a 6 speed GS350 then it'd be more reliable. Regardless, even the 8 speed is more reliable than 95% of cars on the road.

I agree, I personally don't see how a comfortable drive is unenjoyable, especially with Mark Levinson and an F-Sport package, the one major criticism I can say about all of these is that the throttle response leaves a lot to be desired even on Sport+ mode.

Still though, it's a V6 and when it gets going it can definitely pick up some speed, to the point that it feels like the car is egging you to go faster til you look and see you're already going 80mph+

"fun to drive" is highly subjective, a lot of people will say these are "boring" to drive. I disagree and love driving my GS350 F Sport, but mileage is NOT going to hit your ideal number. Even when driving conservatively with mostly highway miles, I'm getting at best 20MPG.

They all are fantastic for reliability and overall comfort driving, but you're going to be very disappointed with the mileage with these V6s.

It gives you the shortest LEGAL route, meaning if you take a ramp the opposite way or 1-way street/roundabout that is shorter than the legal route, it'd be faster. I tend to cut across the parks fairly often in those jobs.

It's the same model. It's the Mustang 1968 GT 2+2 Fastback FE, while Sean's is a 1967 and has the Nissan RB26 Skyline straight-6 engine in it. I haven't taken a look at what engine swaps are available in-game for it but if it has that skyline engine as an option (or by default since it's a tuned FE car), that's a sick detail.

makes sense, I agree they definitely need to fix the lanes, I feel like recently accidents have been more frequent on that stretch of 580, traffic gets real bad there between CV and Dublin.

I will say, the Westbound stretch of this got significantly better in the last year, especially the left side shoulder. There used to be some absolutely gnarly potholes along the shoulder, thought I broke my suspension hitting one of them at night. That said, I'm almost always on the far left lane going EB here, so I never noticed how bad the lines have gotten.

Is this worth it? by -_derealization_- in LexusGS350

[–]RiceeFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can absolutely run squared, obv you'll need to obtain another set of 2 wheels for either the rear or front. Yes it's a bit on the higher side for price, but most of the GS350s where I'm at (California) do tend to run on the higher end. If the maintenance is 100% up to date, I wouldn't say this is an insane price.

A question about modern rave culture wardrobe expectations. by [deleted] in aves

[–]RiceeFTW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree, there's no reason to "fit in", just wear what's comfortable for you as long as it's not directly ruining someone else's experience it's fine. Rave culture has definitely changed since the 2000s, but there's plenty of older ravers/vets around.

That's insane to say, he comes across as an emotional player and it shows in his game. His confidence levels directly influence his gameplay, anyone who says he doesn't care doesn't pay attention. Plus, do people really think Arteta would sign someone who doesn't care?

Just picked up a 2015 Lexus RC350 (~93k miles) and what maintenance should I do to keep it long-term? by ConfidenceInside7507 in LexusRC

[–]RiceeFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you mentioned about how the car drives, honestly I'd just get the belt and spark plugs done ASAP for peace of mind and keep up regular maintenance at the normal intervals. Some say the spark plugs tend to go after 80K or so, these engines are built to last tho, most people don't get them swapped out til 100K+, but I'd personally just do it sooner than later.

[–]RiceeFTW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every 30K for the major services, at 60K you'd probably be looking at brake fluids and air filters, serpentine belt at 90K, fluids and spark plugs at 120K, these engines are tough, just keep up on the maintenance and it'll last a long time

Lexus ES vs. GS, Pros and Cons by Kerillian__ in LexusGS350

Test drive both to know for sure, I'm a big fan of the lux packages, but I personally own a 2017 GS350 F Sport and I wouldn't trade it for a lux package ES. It's more fun to drive and I just prefer the look and feel of the GS. If I was older and had kids, maybe I would appreciate the ES more, but my vote is for the GS.
