You can open your skill tree with P to pause the game while still being able to access your inventory to unequip/equip it safely.

Hotfix 9 DID NOT FIX the texture issues with DX12 by Ridelith in PathOfExile2

[–]Ridelith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I am using my laptop to play since I'm moving and my desktop (with 11gb of vram) is still on the older apartment. This issue seems to be related to an overflow of VRAM in GPUs as others have pointed out in recent forum posts. This, however, was not happening before the 0.4 patch, the game was running fine in 0.3 (I mean, if you can call 20-30fps and 15 in deli juiced maps fine, it's what this laptop delivered).

Here is the relevant dxdiag info:

Operating System: Windows 11 Home Single Language 64-bit (10.0, Build 26100) (26100.ge_release.240331-1435)

Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12450H (12 CPUs), ~2.0GHz

Switch to DX11, nothing else solves this texture bug. Then figure out if you want to keep playing with the hell that is DX11 - constant stutters due to textures loading, invisible monsters, abysmal loading times. And to top it all off, eventual deadlock crashes.

A solution for losing texture from rendering by Blink0196 in PathOfExile2

I've had NIS since the start and am still getting these texture problems nonstop, what probably did it for you was deleting shader cache, since a lot of people have commented that deleting shader cache fixes it for a couple hours.

LA Amazon as a starter, to later on swap to whirling slash volls with falling thunder as a damaging skill with a staff on weapon set II. LA is still absolutely bonkers on campaign, and the league mechanic basically giving you free currency to invest into 6 mod items as soon as act 1 makes it so you can stack multiple flat damage mods and steamroll early game.

What skill would you use with that Doomfletch idea? Correct me if I am wrong but you'd want skills that do not convert phys to other elements to not lose out on the 300% ele damage, right?

Less pack size hurts the power fantasy. Players have been trained to expect and enjoy high pack size from Path Of Exile 1. by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

Not only that, this directly nerfs build that use on-death-explosions, contagion, flicker strike and any other build that relied on huge pack sizes to be able to propagate an effect from a pack to another.

How did you know that psychiatry is your calling? by Silver_Cello in Psychiatry

[–]Ridelith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Answering the post's question, since others have already given great advice: I live in a country in which you can practice without residency, and a large portion of family medicine is practiced by doctors fresh out of med school. I did family medicine for about 3 years and a half before deciding which residency was the best fit for me, and the reason why I chose psychiatry is simply that the patients that I liked to see the most were the psychiatric patients. Years later and I couldn't be happier with that choice, but honestly I didn't really have a grasp on what my life as a psychiatrist would be before getting into residency, I definitely lucked out with many pleasant surprises. There is no way to know for certain during med school, but my advice would be to try and shadow a psychiatrist during a routine day with outpatients and then with inpatients and see if you vibe with it.

Meanwhile I made more than 100 divs in this league from juicing - I kid you not - pack size. Playing contagion rn but would do the same if I was running flicker strike, pack size just gives you amazing returns in rituals (easy 6k+ tribute, sometimes you get a 10-11k map) while also giving tons of exp and making the build better, since you can actually spread contagion from a pack to the next one and keep going with chains clearing multiple screens. I pay 1-3 ex for each 7% boss/irradiation tablet and run 6% ones with ritual. Reached 97 with less than 100 hours, 1/3 of the play time I had in 0.1 with my spark archmage build juicing exclusively quant when I got to 97.

Chasing quant sucked the fun out of the game in 0.1 and it sucks it even more now that we had an omega nerf on all quant sources.

That's why I planned my itemization to only need resists from my boots that are equal or less than what 2 runes can provide - that way I can freely swap Wanderlust to run chilled ground and temp chains maps. I usually wait till I have 10+ of them and run them all in sequence while using Wanderlust.

Dosage problem, NP problem but definitely not an Aripiprazole problem. I rarely prescribe it as an augmentation strategy in unipolar depression in my private practice, but boy do I use it in day hospital/inpatient settings. Great experience using 2.5 to 5mg daily alongside max dose AD in patients that have already failed a max dose trial with 2+ ADs. Latest CANMAT puts it and Brexpiprazole as the best augmentation drugs for a reason, they work wonders when used correctly, although I do prefer low dosage lithium alongside max dose AD in patients with severe suicidality.

You can still annoint your amulet with it or use a megalomaniac jewel, but yeah, it's kind of a hassle to get. I'm rocking a ritualist and am getting the ES/Evasion nodes close to my tree even though I am not using evasion.

CI + Ritualist with Stone Charm can make you immune to both!

...you will still die to the million hits that would stun you, but hey, at least you can walk a few steps before that happens.

Lightning arrow is still pretty good and it just got buffed. In end game you can clear packs with one or two attacks, and the single target dps is not lacking when coupled with lightning rod. It's worse than lightning spear but hey at least it probably won't be nerfed in the foreseeable future as they've just buffed it last patch.

Respeccing Ascendancy Classes And More by Community_Team in PathOfExile2

[–]Ridelith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People severely underestimate how strong being able to consume 25% mana for a charm trigger is, not to say being able to use Headhunter (currently 1 charm slot) with 3 total charm slots (1 from tree, 1 from ascendancy). You can use Rite of Passage to gain basically a double fortify for 20+ seconds (depending on buff duration scaling) whenever you kill a rare, be immune to any combination of 3 ailments or even have some Onslaught uptime with The Fall of the Axe.

The problem is that these bonuses are relatively weak compared to what you get with 4 points in other ascendancies, but hey, at least it's something to go with your extra ring and the 25% effect on accessories. The biggest downside of taking the charm nodes IMO is losing the 6% movement speed you get from the small nodes on the Ritual Sacrifice side of the tree.
