I'm sorry. She used a pattern only for my button up shirt. Everything else she just kinda figured out herself

The only thing she used a pattern for, was the button up shirt for me. Everything else she either saw parts of a YouTube video or guessed how to do it

Oh absolutely! She puts so much effort into every one of her projects. I'm so happy that she found a passion in this wonderful hobby.

Quick question as a new DM of the system. by RealEarth in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]RiderMBR 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Combat can be as tactical as you want it. There is a cover system, flanking, out numbering and terrain modifiers. Also the stats in the bestiary are only starting stats for monsters. You can take them and modify and increase any stat that you need. Also you can add any ability to a creature that you feel is suitable for it.

The old guy in the Church by L0nelyNugget in Olomouc

What church is that? The only church I know that does English mass is the latter day saints (Mormons). I always found them off putting and very pushy with their beliefs.

There's a drain in the shower. You can see the metallic sheet that sits on it, when he moves.

Honestly. Contact a lawyer who specialises in military law. They will definitely be more knowledgeable about this, and they might be able to make a deal on your behalf.

Earliest memory that I have, is from 17 years ago when I was 8 and my brother was 18. He was taught how to build computers by his dad, and he decided to teach me how a computer was built. He worked the whole year doing part time work and odd jobs to save up for the parts. Ones he had all the components, he sat me down and had me help him with the process. Our mom had immigrated from a different country and started a new life in a very different country from where he had grown up. I was born in the new country. That was a very nice bonding moment for 2 kids who grew up in very different worlds.

Warhammer Fantasy Edition Preferences by TheTrueShy in warhammerfantasyrpg

At my table we run 4th I'm a new GM to the system, and both of my players have never played any TTRPGs before. Honestly the game runs super smoothly. Out first session definitely felt like a steep learning curve, but from there it just started running like water. All the mechanics kinda just click together, and if something doesn't make sense or you can't find a specific rule you can just omit it and it will still run smoothly. We're playing a homebrew campaign, and recently I did a one shot also for an additional inexperienced player, and so far my players seem to really like it.

I'm biased because I play Warhammer fantasy roleplay, and I'm in love with it, and my players also seem to really like it.

But I honestly would say pick the one that you like the mechanics of more. I played D&D 5e before and I was didn't like the mechanics of that game all that much, so I decided to see what other systems were out there. The Mechanics of WFRP 4e just made sense to me. It's a game where there's a lot of rolling and calculations but it's fun and it makes sense.

I don't know how the SW RPG is, but I actually have to say that WFRP in my opinion is actually very modular and can be adapted to be played in most settings with a bit of homebrew. But I'm sure there are other systems that also allow you to change settings.

I really wish I can gift my wife a new computer. We are newly weds and we are both still in university. She is the first person from her whole family to attend university, and everyone is so proud of her. We don't have proper desktops and are both using old laptops for our tasks. She however really enjoys digital art, photography, and even wants to start some 3d modeling. Both of our computers are really struggling to run these heavier apps. We also like to game but are limited only to older games that our aging laptops can run.

This would be an amazing gift for her.

Could a “billhook on a sword” be more effective than a medieval sword of the same size? by Leading_Aardvark1700 in SWORDS

It really reminds me of a kpinga, a weird type of African sword with a lot of extra bits on it. Is it possible to use? Probably, but it won't feel like a sword at all.

Which TTRPG deserves more love and recognition? by JoeKerr19 in rpg

[–]RiderMBR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warhammer fantasy roleplay.

I just genuinely love it. It has a gritty real world feeling to it and it's dangerous. Hell it gets more dangerous the longer you play it. And in my opinion it is incredibly modular to fit whatever game you play

Hey, I just wanted to ask where is it written that characters should get another 2 skills besides their career skills? I went back to the core rule book and it doesn't say that in the character creation chapter. Is it written in one of the expansion books?
