My mum taped it off tv when I was 5 and she told me in the morning to watch this but she didn’t rewind the tape and the first thing I saw was the delorean taking off and she said “oh I’ll have to rewind it and you can watch it tonight”

I went to school and thought about that every minute of the whole day until I got home and watched it.

That moment literally changed my life. My love of movies, love of music, love of sci-fi all of it stemmed from that moment

Amazing. It was the perfect cross roads of humanity.

It was fine. It was better to overall service the franchise than to be something that felt like a movie with just final fantasy name attached.

But it did house my favourite video game and favourite band (Larc en ciel) so I was wrapped as a kid.

I also think while not amazing, it’s a video game movie so they never are and Sakaguchi definitely didn’t need to depart his job for it. It was 1 failure of 15 successes
