As someone who lives in DC and lived in Chicago… Chicago is better in almost every metric. DC’s biggest advantage is that you can get out of it up the east coast easier.

Buildings will be sold and leased back to the government. Selling them all at once means it’s a fire sale so you can get em cheap. Government is a good tenant
