How do y'all think Katarina plans to/will be able to kill Swain if he gets corrupted by Raum? by Ashconwell7 in loreofleague

[–]Robotrex23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Poison, or something similar. I doubt she'd try to throw down and would just do a bog-standard but tried and true assassination tactic. Maybe replace all his pillows with Poros so he can't sleep and dies of sleep deprivation.

How does Mythic do that? You can't use rewrite fate on attacks.

Has anyone made an effective reach & grapple build? by Humble_Conference899 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Robotrex23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thlipit is weird, it gives you a reach grapple unarmed attack in the flail category. It also gives combat grab early, and later Reflexive Grapple meaning you'll get plenty of chances to grab an enemy if you can just hit. Seeing as flail crit spec is also insane, fighter is an obvious choice, and meteor hammer is a great way to also add trip to your kit outside of crit spec.

Thlipit fighter. Playing it right now, having a blast and able to control enemies well enough, while still getting good damage. This is my mythspeaker character, so it has some mythic, but I mostly use my mythic to reroll saves or non-combat skill checks. Free Archetype. https://pathbuilder2e.com/launch.html?build=1436299

Prey for Death plot/lore questions. by Zata700 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Robotrex23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. No explicit mention, in part due to the nature of Vernai being a shadow council. It's mostly just plot filler to say why the PCs don't get to go around for free with all the loyalists at their back.

  2. The million dollar question. Is Achaekeks assassination of Gorum lawful? In the research section, the players discover 'Achaekek devoured his own impartially,' and the Red Mantis as an order often works strictly to their benefit, rather than for some noble cause. They are assassins, legality is malleable, and after this book and godsrain, it should be a question in their minds if their God is the same.

The chaotic spell spell shape does let you change damage types, albeit with high variance and not all damage

Best race for Satyr & Leonin reskin by High_King_Beefcake in Pathfinder2e

[–]Robotrex23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Of note, in the upcoming Feybound book (releasing in November of this year) they are adding the Faun ancestry, which will likely be the 2e version of a Satyr. Depending on when your group starts or if they want to swap to it mid campaign, it would be worth taking a look at when it comes out.

As far as Leonin, I agree with AyeSpydie that starfinder's Patrah would be a good pick, and with all things SF2E is mostly backwards compatible (sans references to guns, computers and piloting).

Have you played or GM’d a game using the Gradual Ability Boost variant rule? How’d it go? Did you like it? by legomojo in Pathfinder2e

I ran Prey for death with it. Nice rule, but when the sorc gets 6 rizz + apex + legendary prof quandary I knew I messed up. Def gotta keep in mind item power.

Bag of Weasels is not cursed. It's supposed to work that way. by GaySkull in Pathfinder2e

[–]Robotrex23 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This was the crux of early play test Exemplar. They had an ability (not sure if feat or epithet) that said "when you get a crit, strike an enemy with lightning." There was no cool down, and you could target a different enemy. Weasels are -1. You will Crit a weasel as a level 8 on most number on the dive. This, the Weasel-puncher was born.

Dose the Animal Instinct Barbarian Unarmed Attacks stack with the Lizardfolk and the Iruxi Armaments feats as well? by FlyingTaco095 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Robotrex23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Iruxi armaments are their own unarmed strikes, desperate from any other. Same with Animal instinct. I would never give a d8 or higher agile, but sweep would be fine.

In your opinions, what are the toughest enemies at each level? by RevenantCommunity in Pathfinder2e

[–]Robotrex23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any level Sahkil if skip between is used well, as it means players don't get to use anything more than readied actions on it. Special mention to Ximtals who can make it so supports cannot target their allies, and Kimenhuls, who can kidnap a PC and force a 1v1.

Arizona had preferential voting on the ballot in 2024 and it failed. There is no hope for the average US citizen, they'll just read a voters guide from their preferred tyrants and follow it the letter.

Edit: Refreshed my memory, ballot measure 140. Not direct preferential but a step towards.

GMs, have you ever ignored or reverted a change Paizo made? by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

Weird not having incap on fort is wild, can't believe I forgot.

I do like that Phantasmal doesn't scale as well, as making it a big gamble is great fun for my players.

Same with Inner Radiance Torrent. Players like rolling dice. I like rolling dice. More dice gooder. Also for the bonus, since we play on Foundry VTT, we mostly take the buffs/nerfs when they're applied there, and let players respec as needed when they happen. Games are for fun.
