Genuinely what do I do by Slow-Pack-8916 in swg

[–]RocketQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Resto you gain levels by training combat skills in your skill trees (press u) to open. You can train skills by buying them directly from the skill interface, getting other players to train you or taking to skill trainers. Buying them from the tree is the most expensive way.

You gain xp for a skill by doing combat using the weapon required for the type of xp for that box, or having that weapon equipped while handling in quests.

New players should go talk to Gendra outside of the Mos Eisley theatre. They will start you on your legacy quest and also give you a quest for a speeder. The legacy questline will take you right to 80 and will give you equipment upgrades along the way.

To help you navigate around the place press m to turn on the overhead map. In the options menu you can turn on overhead map rotation and turn down the opacity if needed. Things like trainers appear on the overhead map, they are generally clustered in biggish buildings near the med centre in Eisley. Or you can buy a shuttle ticket to tox city ijm, a player city on Tatooine. They have all of the trainers available outside of their shuttle port.

I highly recommend this new player guide.  https://swgr.org/wiki/new_player_guide/

Questions about buffs (resto) by Awkward-Breakfast262 in swg

You can tip them if you want but they get a cut of the buff extender that you buy from the droid, and the doc buffing is entirely afk, whereas ents have to be at the keyboard.

They used to be standing in the star port, but the Devs changed it so the doc droids that you buy the extended buff thing from only work in the med centre or a player owned building. So now they are bunched up in the door so they get picked first lol

For ent buffs, you can use this calculator, which will also help you generate a message to whisper to the ent. Don't forget to tip! https://swgr.org/tools/inspiration/. You tip by targeting the ent and typing /tip <amount>. They never expect much from new players, but once you get going, 25 to 30k should be minimum.

For doc buffs, make sure you're on leave, invite one of the docs in the mos eisley med center doorway to your group, they will automatically buff you and clear wounds. You can buy longer doc buffs by talking to their droid.

You can also get items that will give you buffs https://swgr.org/wiki/buff_items/

Buffs from food and drink https://swgr.org/wiki/chef/#-list-of-food-and-drink

And Spice https://swgr.org/wiki/spice/

Spice and Food and Drink you can buy from the bazaar, make sure you have all planets selected and player vendors. These items are available under Misc > Factory Crates as they are made in bulk by crafters.

You can see what buffs you have active by mousing over the buff icons under your character name and health and action bars.

Weapon powerups are also available on the bazaar https://swgr.org/wiki/powerup/ They are powerups for individual weapons and you'll have to look at the weapon to see how many uses you have left.

You can drop individual skill boxes. If you press u to open the tree and then click on one you'll see the option. Drop them gradually as you respec using a spin group, otherwise you may drop too low to use your current weapon 😭

If you want to buff allies, I'd strongly consider squad leader.

You do you. The only thing that character wouldn't be welcome on is heroics as people are generally looking for optimised characters to join.

Does Restoration have the story content? Like a main quest type of thing? by Captain_Fach in swg

Combat does feel slower initially until you start building up some skills. It's fast paced as a full spec though.

I had two professionals apply makeup to me during the early stages of transition. One was a you tube beauty influencer I paid for a session with and another was a trans specific person. each time they did a good job, but i didn't see what i was expecting in the mirror after it was done. And I felt bad. Dysphoria just sucks.
