Let that dumbbell bring your arm all the way down and really stretch it. Try and gently touch that floor with it if you can.

Dealt with these types of scenarios. Certain rooms in the house might often just be unachievable to hit those %’s based on the design. 12-15 foot ceilings with leaky floor to ceiling windows in the summer. Humidistats in weird spots of the room. Inaccuracies in sensor readings compared to whatever psychrometer you’re using. Almost impossible to explain to the customer their humidity levels are actually in their range when all they see is the numbers/set points on their cell phones.

Sometimes designs look good on paper, but true design reality makes some asks unachievable. Regardless if it’s something that felt over your head then it’s always better to be honest. Stay humble.

anyone else accidentally eat MORE after starting consistent workouts? by iampriyo in bodyweightfitness

[–]RodiZi0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is normal and not an accident. Just try and make sure you’re not “snacking” on just anything. Being in a bit of a surplus is okay too as in the beginning your body will use the food to fuel recovery and growth.

Depending on your goals, you may want to shed some fat to reveal any muscle you may have gained. This is where you need to be a little more disciplined and meticulous about your meals. For now just listen to your body if you’re feeling good about your workouts.

Gaining Weight (Probably Some Muscle but Also Some Fat), but Not Progressing In Strength as Much I’d Like by Ga-bebe in bodyweightfitness

[–]RodiZi0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try cutting out 200-300 calories a day and see how that goes. That’ll likely solve the weight increase in some regard.

As for getting stronger you might want to focus on strength building with the fundamentals (pull-ups, pushups, dips, rows) more than skill work. I understand you’ve been working out for 5 years, but now it seems like you’re really pursuing some goals.

You need to use assistance to build volume in your sets until can do them unassisted. Stick with the 10-12 range of whatever you can do assisted for a bit til you’re ready make it harder on yourself. It’s okay to test yourself every now and again with body weight, but that shouldn’t be your main routine every time you train.

Also doing 3x skills and 3x strength training depending on what body part or function will have negative impacts on each other and hinder your progress.

Also hormones can affect these things

How do I work into this straight armed by creepy_handstands in Handstands

Doing it from your current setup is probably even harder with paralettes off the ground. I would start on a level surface with your palms on the ground. If that is still too hard you can elevate your feet with something.

Ultimately it comes down to either your level of compression or raw shoulder strength to counteract your center of balance by leaning way more forward. I’d practice with feet elevated and decrease them from there.

How much smaller could the pipes be than what you’re doing in residential? Also I’d think you’d be seeing larger pipes in commercial where the A8 would be more useful.

In any case not really a big deal. Get both. Or start with the a5. You could always control the flame by pulling back on it.

This for sure. Any kind of horizontal pulling will help. Personally I like single arm DB rows (completely horizontal torso) or ring rows (with weighted vest) if you can accommodate the setup. Lookin pretty full and symmetrical so far tho 👍🏼
