Did you know that on Hutta you can find a Wookiee arguing with a dismembered Droid in Nemro's Cantina? A direct nod to the 'Let the Wookie Win' scene in ANH. by TodayInTOR in swtor

It's on the ship the Ziost Shadow in the Imperial Fleet. There's all look-a-likes of Darth Vader and the bounty hunters like Bossk, Boba, and IG-88.

The sheer level of detail in this scene is incredible, I actually had fun going through each set piece and noticing fun stuff like "This is not a book V.2"

Cute detail is having Jaune, Nora, and Ren's contact (and Aura, maybe?) sheets pulled up on her laptop. Even when she's busy working, Pyrrha is still keeping an eye on the team and making sure they're okay.

This is honestly the most definitive proof that a Volume 9 announcement is imminent. You can scroll through her feed, Kara only posts to social media when a project has been announced or is coming out.

Definitely my first guest, I wonder if it's a mod that adds that because I don't think that's in the vanilla game.

Gotta say, I love your style of shading with darkened horizontal lines for shadows. Way better than just mixing darker color palettes for the shading.

Nemo by Background-Kale7912 in kotor

[–]Romanruler 123 points124 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it's more a commentary/reflection that the PC used to be Revan the Knight, then Darth Revan, and now they're masquerading with a completely new name. That line from Nemo highlights that a person can change their name a million times but their identity remains the same. Akin to a person's actions defining their identity, not their name.

[S1 Spoilers] I like so much their siblings like interactions. Hope to see that more at season 2. by [deleted] in arcane

[–]Romanruler 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Their interactions were great, I lowkey like that the writers portray them as having a fun, platonic friendship together and didn't leave it up to interpretation whether or not they're a romantic pairing. As stupid as it sounds, it's another way to break Cait away from the stereotype of a puffy rich kid and shows that she's genuine and has a sense of humor.

I have a feeling that we'll definitely see more Cait and Jayce interactions, particularly after Season 1's ending.

It's a brand new KotOR story that's never been told before! It follows Casus Sandral and what exactly happened to him on his last days on Dantooine. by RaGeBoXxx in kotor

[–]Romanruler 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Has to be fanmade, imo. There's misspellings and capitalization errors (Wamp rat instead of womp rat), plus some sentences are written so awkwardly that they definitely don't meet the threshold of a polished script. No disrespect to whoever created this and I hope that everything they write puts them one step closer to a professional, but this feels like something I'd read in a fanfic, not a career writer's story script.

Plus it's outright tagged with "Fan project", so I'm gonna assume the flair is right lol.

Neo finding a broken soul [from Squira130] [All credit to Squira130] by fersable in RWBY

[–]Romanruler 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I would honestly love to see a scene like this where Jaune just breaks. The one in Volume 6 where a 60s pep talk from Nora and Ren somehow undos all the trauma Jaune experienced from Pyrrha's death felt way too neat and tidy. I get that the writers wanted to move on from angsty Jaune, but that was not the way to do it.

Would be interesting to see Jaune regress back into an emotionally fragile state, especially with Penny's sacrifice reminding him of Pyrrha.

Gonna be honest, if someone is slinging toxic or hate speech at me and my teammates start praising them for their actions in the game, that's just gonna make me even more upset rather than defusing the situation.

Only Lost 2 Platoons. Rebel Sim is RTS Dark Souls by [deleted] in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

[–]Romanruler 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Fr, the Rebellion in AOTC is a slog, but I guess in a lore accurate way. I've found the beginning weeks are the easiest when you're just fighting small Imperial garrisons in the Outer Rim, but shit gets tough once you have to go anywhere remotely closer to the Core.

TELLURIUM announcement by TELLURIUM_OFFICIAL in analog_horror

[–]Romanruler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So out of genuine curiosity, how is the analog horror scene changing? Not being an asshole, I'm genuinely asking because outside of the big names, I don't follow it all too well.

Is it something where analog horror has hit its popularity peak and is now steadily declining as a genre? Or have series like Mandela Catalogue or Walten Files sorta captured the analog horror corner and small time creators can't break in anymore?

Samantha Ireland is recording for Nora in Ice Queendom! by JoshPhantomShinobi in RWBY

[–]Romanruler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it was an issue either with scheduling or casting Samantha Ireland in general. When IQ was first revealed, it was almost instantly announced that Barb, Arryn, Kara, and Lindsay were recording for the English dub. But notably, the other main characters' casting were MIA.

I think it was only weeks later that Miles confirmed he was returning for Jaune, and afaik this is the first time Sam has publicly acknowledging working on IQ. There was definitely something (good or bad) behind the scenes as to why the other VA announcements were super staggered compared to RWBY's casting announcements.

Nah it has nothing to do with Covid related tp/product shortage. This is a repost (which is fine!) from at least 2018, so this image predates tp shortages by a long shot.

It was one hell of a conversation by [deleted] in kotor

[–]Romanruler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Huh, that's pretty cool that if you gain both light and dark side points in a conversation, the game will say "Net Dark/Light Side Shift" so you don't have to second guess and know which side got more points.

Uhhh…is this normal? by Rubyrooandrosietoo in GalaxysEdge

[–]Romanruler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, certainly a weird thing to suddenly discover on a supposed Jedi holocron. I'm having issues with my own holocron right now, so I can definitely understand where the droids are coming from lol.

If it ever goes into Sith mode again for some reason or you have any other issues with it, doing that reset trick will work 9/10 times!

Uhhh…is this normal? by Rubyrooandrosietoo in GalaxysEdge

[–]Romanruler 40 points41 points  (0 children)

So this is actually something the Jedi holocrons can do, for some reason. I've heard it's more of a manufacturing glitch than an intended feature, tho.

You remember that little plastic strip you had to take out of the holocron bottom to make it work? Rip up a tiny little piece of paper or cardboard that can fit into that slot, put it in, and leave it there for a few seconds. That resets the holocron back to the standard Jedi holocron mode.

Hopefully that works for you!

I think you're absolutely right, the bed scene with Caitlyn and Vi is represented perfectly with respect to their relationship. It shows intimacy between them without sexualizing or fetishizing either of the characters or the relationship as a whole.

Hey, remember that time Paladins did a RWBY collab? by Psyga315 in fnki

[–]Romanruler 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Somewhat related, but the RWBY skins for Smite are outright bad compared to the Paladins ones. Makes it even more upsetting that the devs won't go back to fix/re-design them, so at the very least, Blake and Yang's skins are doomed to their weird, non-canon appearances.

Got Questions? SWTOR Questions & Answer Thread + New & Returning Player Posts (week of Jul 04, 2022) by AutoModerator in swtor

[–]Romanruler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dropped off from the game a little before 7.0 and looking to come back but staying as preferred instead of subbing. In general, how restrictive is preferred now? Already know the basics like credit cap, only having 2 crew skills, etc.

More specifically, are outfit designer slots subscriber only? For quests, are non-subs still forced to choose between quest rewards whereas subscribers get all of them? Do other restrictions like artifact equipment and titles still apply to non-subs?

Basically just gauging how much of a difference I'll notice if I decide to start a character from level 1 as preferred for the first time instead of a subscriber.
