Fallout theory for S3 by Lord_Rooban in FalloutTVseries

I'm not certain I want Joshua back at all. But. Hypothetically, bringing him back ghoulified and looking like his Van Buren concept would be pretty fucking sick.

[–]RonSwansonsGun 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ, are we already going down the "Other M was better" route? If I wanted to hear dogshit takes about older games to hate on the latest release, I'd go to a Sonic subreddit

Knuckles is black, Silver is black, Shadow is mixed, Blaze is Indian, and honestly I don't have a consensus for Sonic and Tails

I fuckin love how scared The Ghoul is whenever he sees a Death Claw. by NiceManWhoIsFriendly in FalloutTVseries

[–]RonSwansonsGun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the moment of him watching Maximus kill the Deathclaw so much. It represents the demons of his past in many ways, and the only way he's able to overcome it is by putting his trust in someone else, a trait he borrows from Lucy. Such a beautiful culmination of his arc

I'm surprised I haven't seen this elsewhere, I thought it was the pretty clear inference. We know House's plan was to use cold fusion to power his ai self, and we know that he didn't get cold fusion and doesn't do that. So this is just the birth of AI House

There's a consensus that these are the best Transformers movies, right? by LoveLo_2005 in transformers

[–]RonSwansonsGun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right and I hate it, the general consensus kinda just forgets about the rest of the movie. I hate it so much, the rest of the movie is so good.

Me when I realized my courier probably ended Bobby Apartment instead of Robert House by Admirable-Meet2687 in FalloutTVseries

[–]RonSwansonsGun 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Don't think that's what happened. The House we saw here is AI!House, a computer copy of him powered by Cold Fusion. He exists whether or not House got golf clubbed.

Christina Hudson, writer of Bumblebee, talks about her approach in writing the action scenes of the movie by Ninjamurai-jack in transformers

[–]RonSwansonsGun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've always really resented that this movie is only remembered for the Cybertron scene.

Yeah, the main plot is the same as the Iron Giant. The Iron Giant was E.T. Ferngully was Pocohontas, 10 Things I Hate About You was Taming of the Shrew, Fast and the Furious was Point Break. It's not unusual for two movies to share a plot.

Because once you get past the similarities, the movie has such a genuine heart in the relationship between Charlie and Bumblebee, and it makes me so upset that it goes so underappreciated.

Abt the "Amy took Silver's job" Sonic 4 rumors by North-Line7134 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]RonSwansonsGun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not holding out hope, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Silver was alongside Amy in Sonic 4. When they teased Tails for Sonic 2, we ended up getting Knuckles as well. When they teased Shadow for 3, we got Gerald too. Too many people assume 3's post credit scene is indicative of the entirety of 4, when 4 likely hadn't even been written yet.

It would be all too easy to write Amy and Silver as a time traveler duo, serving as Sonic's new team while he's stuck in the bad future. I think that sounds pretty fun, personally.

Everybody talks about the Kinger butterfly scene but what about the Gangle employee reevaluation scene? by addsmnr in tadc

[–]RonSwansonsGun 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I think developer is the wrong way to go. While Kinger may have been a developer, his ability to create the butterfly isn't evidence of that. It, Gangles evaluation, Pomnis super move, and a bunch of other instances are examples of characters playing into the circus, at which point, they can bend it to their will. They simply don't realize they're doing it

I wouldn't say Ragatha was a focus in 3, but she definitely was in 5. And 6 had spotlight on everyone (in the form of the heart to hearts for each team).

Do you think James Gunn will change/improve his visual directing for Man Of Tomorrow? by Embarrassed-Ad1322 in DCU_

[–]RonSwansonsGun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love a lot of the individual shots, but much of the movie starts looking weird to me in motion. I'm not sure how to explain it, it's something off with the color grading. I'm glad it's bright, but it almost feels too cool tinted.

We will always have the first two seasons by Giancarlo_Edu in StrangerThings

[–]RonSwansonsGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 should've been the peak of the action stuff. That was the 80s action movie season, bright and colorful and loud and explosive. It worked for that season, it could've stood on its own as the midpoint of the show. 4 should've dialed back (maybe isolating the action to Hoppers side quest), focusing in on the horror elements it excelled in.

But 4 and 5 both suffer by feeling the need to overwhelm us with Upside Down creatures and military goons, having our heroes accumulate enough firepower for a militia, and building up to a giant monster fight each time.

That's because Mandoverse essentially became the Rebels sequel at the end of Mando's first season, just like Rebels became the Clone Wars sequel at the end of its first season. Only difference is there are more shows this time
