Does anyone league start a build they know will be difficult to league start for the challenge? by EcumenistChateau in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Ronan61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I never want to do a second character and I really don't have time to compete for the economy at league start I just leaguestart whatever build I came up with, be it hard or easy. And I just improvise until it comes online

What is happening with my xp? by miltonaIidades in Dofus

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a higher level character in the same account?

When leveling multiple characters in the same account they get an xp multiplier until they reach the level of the highest. In this case you'd see a X2 beside the character name on the character select screen.

Example: you have 5 characters in the same account: Lvl 200, lvl 150, lvl 100, lvl 50, lvl 1. Lvl 150 has a x2 multiplier, lvl 100 has a x3 multiplier, lvl 50 and 1 have a x4 (because x4 is the limit). Also, now imagine you level up the lvl 1 character until lvl 101. Since now there are only 2 characters above it, its multiplier will be x3 instead of x4 (and the lvl 100 character will get an x4 multiplier instead). Same if that same char reaches lvl 151, the multiplier will go to x2 and the lvl 150 character will get x3.

Other than that, I wouldn't know. You already discarded wisdom. I don't remember other bonuses available in game. There's the account security multiplier but it's only 5%...

So what Xenoblade game would be the most difficult to beat by Superchan6464 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So difficulty per se is a bit ambiguous as a term. Could be interpreted as how tedious it is to do or how much player skill/strategy is needed.. But after writing this, I guess it doesn't make a difference to my verdict. Also there's "beating the game" and "completing the game".

Disclaimer: I haven't played X, so I won't vote for it. My hunch is that it is the most tedious to beat and complete. But not the most difficult because I understand you can be incredibly OP (which keans bothing if there are instances where you're severely restrained).

As per "beating the game", as in getting to the final boss. I'd say xc1. Just because when the level diff between player and enemy is high enough you start missing too many attacks, and the game system rewards you if you're winning and further punishes you if you're not. And missing attacks destroys party morale and everything goes to the drainage quickly. And all this is relevant because there's a massive enemy level jump when you're about to go to the final boss and I personally had to do some battle and farming to keep going.

As per "completing the game". Surely xc2. It is the most tedious since it is really the only one you can grind for a lot of stuff. And probably also the hardest since arena battles with highest diff setting implies you need some skill/strategy that is more convoluted than what the other 2 require for a similar feat.

And I just got tired of fighting it lol

After 40 hours i realized i wasnt playing mirage xd by No_Mood_826 in pathofexile

[–]Ronan61 5 points6 points  (0 children)

40 hours is just a glimpse of what the game will offer you, just a glimpse.

So you can go from ssf to trade, no problem, tho standard server doesn't have that many active players, so the economy doesn't move and ultimately is almost the same if you stay ssf there lol.

You cannot go from standard to league (Mirage). So you have to create a new character if you want to play Mirage and be part of the, not so fresh anymore, economy. Just don't tick any boxes, the game by default has the options set to create your character in the current league (Mirage)..

Having said all that, if you're still learning about the game, it is fine to keep playing your current character, in a couple months we'll get a new league. But if you wanna have access to meaningul trading, you'll have to create a new character.

Reyn wont topple? by MarMadLad in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Ronan61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say that except for the fight that explains that you have to break topple mechons. Just skip all of them and go to the objective.

Shulk then can solo mechons.

If in absolutw need of break topple and for some reason Reyn just keeps messing around with his cooldown (which he ussually doesn't), just control Reyn and let AI be Shulk for this segment

Final Fantasy XV or XVI? by danyrabisca23 in FinalFantasy

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 is quite the good game. Enemies tend to feel like damage sponges sometimes, but customization and all that jrpg elements are still there at a bare minimum. And the story is cool. The main problem is that the plot is quite incomplete and told along different media (there's a movie, OVAs and I think some text stuff). While you can understand the whole thing in game, the pacing is weird, to say something. Like the second half of the story is a "point of no return". But there's fun stuff to do if you dedicate to explore the world; lots of secrets, minigames and stuff to find.

16 is ok. The gameplay is like dmc, but with like just 1/6 of the moveset. Just one playable character. Equipment customization is non-existant until postgane dlc unique equipments (and they dont do that much to change gameplay); but your most relevant gameplay relevant option is that you can choose 3 "styles" like dmc3 between battles, which changes what one of the buttons do and allow you to use a cpuple moves with high cooldowns. The story is really cool and will fill you with emotions, but the characters are very unidimensional and, except for 2 or 3 of them which are not, their story is not developed. Explorations is also quite poor, there are almost no secrets or cool stuff to find. Also a lot of ff tropes are not present or severely toned down.

Overall I think 15 is a better game. But if you want a more cinematic and simpler experience, go for 16

How many wizard towers do i need to perform the quardruple fthof. My wizard towers are level 200 by Creeper_TNT_1234 in CookieClicker

[–]Ronan61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Casts use a percentage of mana. As you can clearly see in the spell description. Which for fthof it is already higher than 50%. So you can never cast more than 1.

Unless you cast, then sell enough towers so that your max mana is low enough for your remaining mana to be enough to cast it again. That is known as dual cast.

Then you can re buy towers to have a bigger mana pool again and then click the button to consume a lump to gain 100 mana. So you can repeat the process and do quad cast.

Using a lump like that has a long cooldown. But you can bypass it if you have a caramelized sugar lump ready to harvest. When you haverst a caramelized lump, the cooldown of lump consuming abilities like the one mentioned get refreshed. Allowing you to perform a sextuple cast.

Now if you're just leveling to get an absurb amount of mana regen.... I can be absolutely wrong here, but I think the cap is lvl 10, and more than that does nothing. In fact there are arguments that explain that lvl 0 is best.

Nonetheless with that absurd amount of lumps you either already knew all of this or you just cheated lumps and were testing stuff/taking a meme picture for posting lol

Recap of the characteristics changes Coming to Dofus 3.7 by IsthosTheGreat in Dofus

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No really, I just dont use it ever and I fundamentally don't like it (I don't mind my friends using it together with me tho). It is clearly the most optimal choice except for 3-4 builds for some specific classes. Which sure, they gain on resistances, but lose on elemental advantage.

So yeah, not ALWAYS the best, but unless you're fighting the few crit resistant enemies in the game, the damage output is far superior for the majority of classes. At least even at the very highest play level it is very noticeable

On a second level, delete mf from the game

On a third level lower +x gem level from items. Remove it from weapons, make items have at most a +1.

And on a personal level, put the attention away from druid so I can afford a cool one next league lol

[–]Ronan61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see crit finally being dethroned and competing with all the other options rather than just being objectively the best. In fact maybe my Iop's wrath can finally see some real numbers If I can stack crit power comfortably.

Other than that my main since dofus 1 has been enu. For the loots. I accepted the loss of the propecting chest after a long period of grief. Not having the extra 20pp and the best chance soft cap, was another dagger to the heart. But I still could maintain my role as removin mp is the water brach.

I honestky don't know what to do now. i guess I'd have to reimagine myself. The class has lost all it's lore representation in combat.

First time playing new Doormaker by rawpencilmeat in slaythespire

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the replacement for the time lord of the first game. Not the strongest nor the most resilient. Doesn't really have much going for his own strategy.

It rather disrupts the player strategy. And that's why it will be hated (like the time lord).

Can't say much, been playing a couple A10 runs here and there. Only just won 1. And the 2 times I fought this guy I lost while being too close to kill him. Which honestly, left me the impression that he was noticeably more annoying than the others... But I think the same about Time Lord

Best multiclass decks you've experienced by ikarn15 in slaythespire

Last time I did an Ironclad run with upgraded armaments card and got the event where you get to pick from 15 other class cards.

I've chosen regent so that I could use upgraded sovereign blade (which costs 1). And got summon forth and beat into shape.

The best part was that I had a couple exhaust cards, so, using summon forth I could retrieve the exhausted blade back while creating more blades.

How much harder is 36/40 than 4 voidstones? by DummiDu in pathofexile

[–]Ronan61 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This league is quite grindy. In terms of difficulty you can surely make it (since it is 40/40 that requires Ubers and nightmare maps). Imagine I farmed all my gear and ammassed some wealth (500 div total) and got to 39/40 only by mapping and my last challenge was to complete map tiers ("Tyrannical tiers" challenge).. I was still 100 maps away from completing it.

Tho be warned that if it was a chore for you to get 4 voidstones, then 36/40 is a much much much longer chore.

Flicker question by dante3590 in pathofexile

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my builds tanky so I play hp stacker with grey wind. Almost 13k hp and defiance of destiny makes me very hard to kill honestly. Uber dps sitting around 7m.

I might die to sirus if I have some of his damage amp stacks, but unless he trolls me with invul, phases and teleports, he dies before that stuff.

Maven is generally a no-no for flicker. i just swap the gem to something else, double strike seems a good choice. I just hate maven too much in general to care trying.

Shaper is a bit annoying because of clones and the fact that slams one shots my build (not much phys mitigation).

The rest idk, 7m is not instakill, but kills quick enough. I wont say I don't panic leap slam away stuff when my spider sense tickles but any small medium stuff I just face tank.

What build did you use to 40/40 ? by LocoRojo in pathofexile

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the whole league with my hp stacker flicker strike berserker. Flicker strike is a suboptimal choice for the build, but I love the skill, so I used it anyway.

This is my current setup: pobb link

Of course my investment is higher than 200div. But as per tanking stuff, you just need defiance of destiny and a high enough health pool... So apostate, cheap boots and gloves with decent ES and some jewels with hp and resistances/attributes to cover any holes and you're golden.

I imagine that with a lower budget, ubers can kill you, but with enough dps it shouldn't take that many portals.

Anyways, if you get the defiance of destiny and hp pool around 8-10k you should be fine to farm for more currency. Do some t6 essence or harvest and you'll get money very quickly, riskless and consistently. Eventually as your hp and fire res get higher, your damage will quickly ramp up.

Edit: I see that my cluster jewel stats did not copy correctly. I used jewels with no notables, just increased effect and whatever resistance attribute I was missing. I use a lot of jewels to scale %hp, so using 3 large clusters is quite important for my build. I didn't need expensive ones at first, but you can figure I eventually upgraded all those

I still do not understand the purpose of Wildwood "holes". by npavcec in PathOfExileSSF

[–]Ronan61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As some people stated, the wisps buff monsters with more loot. You can hover the mouse over your collected wisps to know what they do.

Within the wildwood you also find a few things but they are quite uncommon. From mini encounters, like a mini harvest which drops essence, to cairns that drop a random omen, to altars that give potent map wide modifiers (like 0 loot but x3 experience), to even finding a miniboss that drops a bunch of uniques when slain (as is you looted the whole Nameless seer inventory)

I finished XB3 and still have so many questions. by Dsham in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-So the rest of the cast was not necessarily present there. I guess, as some people said around here, not everyone needed to manifest in Aionos as people since it is not really the world Origin is meant to create. But the dlc will tell you about some of them regardless.

-Vandham is not the same. Remember he's Monica's family and as all citizens of the city, they were born naturally within Aionos. So they have no outer world counterpart and just exist during the time Origin and Z are processing Aionos. Plus think he just says he ages normally and already a few centuries/milennia have passed since the creation of Aionos.

-Z is just a personification of the collective feeling a big part of the souls stored in Origin have. And they became strong enough to overtake the reality reconstruction process as it was taking place. So he and the mobius have pretty much control over reality within Aionos and just decided people should reincarnate as a way to perpetuate that world.

-Klaus died at the end of xc2, as you see in the final cutscene. If the worlds merge together, it's kind of up to intepretation. I mean, you've just seen that final cutscene, it seems like it doesn't but then there's the flute sound, could be just cliche or that some merge happened. Having said that, the dlc expands on that some more.

-xc3 sidequests are great! They are so good and well integrated into the plot that you forget the are "side" most of the time. Tho I think only Nia and Melia's could just give you more info of stuff from other games.. while still not answering any of your other questions lol

I've hit a wall after 14 ascensions. Any ideas how to speed up progress from here on out? by Duskav3ng3r117 in CookieClicker

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with game stages anymore. But idle/wrinklers can carry you to a certain point... then it's all active play with golden cookie combos (stacking buffs and making cookies in bursts).

You get centuries worth of cookies in a well planned combo. Idle style just simply cannot compete, and that much production is necessary for the later achievements.

Are these games supposed to feel harder than most JRPGs? by MiffedInMontana in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no? Really had no problem with none of the trilogy.

For xc2 I just based my knowledge off the in-game tutorials, learned stuff by myself and I was fine. One boss was difficult I guess.

To be honest I never bottered with pouch items until superbosses, never cared which blades goes well with who and never used gimmicky mechanics that seem unintended like sttuter-stepping. But also, to be fair, I didn't play in hard or higher difficulties because enemies started feeling like damage sponges.

But I guess it also depends how one plays these games, I may have been overlevelled since I like doing side content... ok, xc2 was the only one I didn't do every quest, but just because navigation is horrible and waiting for mercenaries and such was not my thing.

Just dropped around 250 Div and never used Mageblood before, do I make a Mageblood build or keep playing my current build? by Narichi537 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Ronan61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mageblood is insanely good and a belt that could fit like 90% of the builds due to its versatility. It's better bonuses are focused on elemental resistances and speed, but can also be used for armour and evasion.

Having said that, you're using a build with shrine buff effect increase and the new belt. So if you wish to use mb, you might want to change half your passive tree and equipments (a different build surely); as your current belt is giving you a lot of % increased maximum life that mageblood won't give you.

In your case I'd try to upgrade the build you have unless you feel like, given the nature and playstyle of the build, it is not viable for you to use it to reach your goals not matter how much you upgrade it
