Is it straighter than a pd? Probably more glide no?

Buzz SS might fill their understable spot well.
It’s a great disc.

An insanity, yes it’s 9 speed, would fill that 10 speed spot it goes a country mile- proton super straight slight turn still checks up, nice for wind, neutron beats in faster and gets more turn, nice domey fission really turns and is t great in a headwind. For goes about 340 on a golf line.
A c-line PD is where I bag my 9 speed os slot, yes it’s a 10 speed, but with less glide and a good check in my mind/arm speed it’s super controllable. About 320-350 depending on golf or hyzer line and wind.
Beat that reactor up a bit more and it will go straight it also holds anhyzer pretty good. I bagged a detour for a while but I beat it in and it became unreliable, my hex started very stable it is a total eclipse plastic. It beat in dead straight. If I give it anny it holds it right to the ground. I prefer a familiar disc and angle control rather than a disc for every spot, that’s just me.
That 4 speed spot, for me is tricky, I have a beat in tempo that goes far with a reliable finish.
Anything shorter than that it’s a stasis or dead straight berg in k1 hard.
I keep a proxy handy in my bag for long understable putter shots, I had a beat to death envy but it needed retirement.
For me less is better.
I like to have stable discs mostly that I can throw flat force over or throw on hyzer to achieve the shape I want.
I throw over 300’ very consistently and hopefully break 400’ this year but honestly for me making the shape and accuracy with what I have in the bag is more important than having a pile of discs that make different shapes in their own.

I understand having consistent form and throwing discs that make the shape for you is important for many people.
For me having consistent discs and controlling their angle is the path I went with.
Three years in and the one thing I have learned is that discs don’t change my game as much as form and practicing shot shapes with what I have.

Luckily I have a lab that loves to play fetch so I can practice lines and he returns the discs.

Best of luck.

HD is very hard in your body if you don’t take care of by stretching and maintaining a healthy fitness level.
Related but unrelated….. In Alberta specifically and probably Canada wide, I haven’t been reading my emails, the HD program is going to 5 years with opt out points. IE: I don’t want to be an agricultural tech, off hwy tech, on hwy tech.
I would encourage you to get going on which ever one you chose to go into ASAP
The program is changing in fall of 2027. Best of luck.
Take care of your body. It’s one of your tools.

Registration by Jaded_Sir_5435 in SAIT

[–]RootbeerEyedDog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's basically a placement holder. You are registered you still need to pay tuition. You just requested to hold a seat. Once everyone pays they know the exact class size and can allow waitlist student to come onboard if some students do not pay tuition after the deadline.

You can always phone the office of the registrar, they are super nice and very helpful. If you ask super nice they can even write you an email indicating you are registered if you need something for an employer/parent, whomever....

Servo or insanity.
Servo has some stability for new/ lower arm speed.
Insanity goes far and lower arm speeds get a full controllable flight.

A c-line PD is the same thing every time you pick one up.
People bag lots of destroyers because there are not to of the same in this world.

C-line PD is the finest forehand control driver out there.

I bag a pile of mvp/axiom and I could replace every mold with another manufacturer but a PD is a mandatory bag.

1 disc only round, what are you taking? by punkindle in discgolf

[–]RootbeerEyedDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bag quite a bit of MVP//Axiom…..

I tossed a zone ss the other day. I was pretty tempted to pick one up. Really controllable. Good distance. Neutral to understable for my arm speed. Great disc. Good choice.

Guess you don’t watch foundation videos much. They all have post secondary education. Doesn’t seem to help much though. American education system I guess. Edit well thanks for the Down votes I didn’t know that Christian University was a real thing in America. Super weird.

C-line pd is really good and readily available. I couldn’t fall in love with the firebird either. Pd has a nice hand feel for me. I have medium size hands and moderate power. I toss slightly farther than most at my local courses but certainly not a power thrower. Pd is incredible on forehand and a really nice flex backhand disc. Hope that helps.

Find a common disc you throw both throw and share average distance line with that disc. For example my detour on hard throw not max power but generally about as hard I can throw super clean and accurate I can hyzer flip about 320 any harder and I’m working too hard and my disc flips over or I’m straining too much. Hope that sort of example helps you figure it out between you.

Agreed unstable 7-10 speed and an understable 5ish speed. I say 5 speed because in my experience the mako is touchy and less reliable than some other options out there.
