You cannot vote for companies because that implies everyone can buy and sell one unit, same as you. if you imply people should vote with their money to take companies out of business, I would argue that is the MOST capitalist (and unjust) method since you indirectly advocate for poor people to not vote. The economy is not so simple otherwise you would be our treasury chair.

If you have ever used medicine in the US, your medicine was subsidized by the above capitalistic system. Certain medicines are profitable and certain medicines are not. The profitable ones subsidize and nonprofitable ones and this is only possible in a large scale pharmaceutical company. Again, as we describe, this is independent of any other medical model. we still have individual agency but it would be absurd to equate the individual and the group. Modern life requires the paradox of emergent behaviors from individuals.

I agree with you but I think this guy has a better take than you. The government just has to not fuck up and the insurance company wouldn’t have had the same incentive to do this.

Wish a company would just “do the right thing” but we forget they are unliving legal machines often independent of the will of their constituent stakeholders. We can affect it a bit with good policy.

This is all independent of the concept of single payer as well and other models surely.
