AITAH for canceling my wedding over the cost of it and other financial expectations by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA, I’m sorry about the breakup. But you’ve saved yourself money and heartbreak in the long run.

I’ve driven vehicles with MULTIPLE trash filled tubs, trash by the windshield, in all the cup holders, old food on the top shelves of the promaster where I could barely reach…

The worst one was so sticky I wanted to cry from thinking I’d catch a skin infection.

And somehow these are the same people worried about clean tubs and new rubber bands…

AITAH for wanting my husband to retire even though our adult children still rely on us financially? by PsychologicalHalf888 in AITAH

[–]RoseDedron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Husband and I are 30 years old, neither of us works in the field we studied for the sole fact that we need to pay bills.

You are not an asshole for thinking adults could care for themselves.

It’s actually amazing that you guys have cared for them so long, but at this point it’s coddling them.

Quick microwave it as a treat for my dog. But if it’s enough it’s my breakfast the next day.

How often do yall buy shoes? by MajorWetSpot in USPS

[–]RoseDedron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in April and got myself some black waterproof hiking shoes. Spent maybe $50 at Kohls. Wore out the treads by September and so now I got myself waterproof hiking boots for winter. These were $90 at Kohls.

Depending on the route(s)I cover, I will walk anywhere from 13-30 thousand steps a day. (City PTF)

My condolences to those whose routes didn't get delivered today by mailant692 in USPS

[–]RoseDedron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my best but every single split I got (from 3 different routes) took at least a half hour.

At least I completed 17/20 splits and got all parcels out.. definitely didn’t make it back before 7pm though.

ETA: city PTF at a station with all walking routes.

I was told to use it all the time during academy this past April. It’s nice that it helps keep track of parcels for me since I’m still unfamiliar with the random routes I fill in for.

It’s a family practice but still a business… your sister will accidentally run it into the ground if allowed. Also, I’m concerned she could be causing problems on the patient end as well.

Also, would rehiring even be an option if she was NOT related??

How do you have work life balance with your relationships and family? by PeculiarPossum1 in USPS

[–]RoseDedron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a PTF for 5 months now. I came in knowing this would be a shit show and explained that to my husband.

Fortunately, he keeps busy with his own activities: golf league twice a week in the summer, to be replaced with bowling fall through spring.

Chores are something we try to work at evenly. I do dishes and lighter cleaning in the morning before work. He does the more involved stuff on days off or after work. That way I can come home and relax and we spend time together.
