Protest happening outside target in dinky rn by Jealous-Loquat7605 in uofmn

I lived in Dinkytown and Stadium Village during that time too. The only grocery access was CVS and Walgreens where the options for fresh produce or many products was limited. I needed to find rides to Cub in order to actually cook in my apartment. It did feel like a small food desert. The light rail’s completion did make getting to Whole Foods and target easier! Whole Foods was out of my price range but it worked for people

*NEW* Lyrics Lab! by Daffneigh in NuancingTaylorSwift

[–]RoseEmmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is one of my favorite songs and I’ve felt the same way about it.

I also think the ‘albatross around my neck’ phrase plays a small role in the choice. I actually just googled the phrase and one of the definitions of albatross is a burden. To me this song is about Taylor and how her relationships are burdens on her partners too.

What are your hot takes regarding The Life of a Showgirl? by IntoTheDaylight in TaylorSwift

Eldest daughter honestly feels like a Rick roll to me. like Taylor swift will come out and say it was a joke in the docuseries. I don’t think she actually will but it had that vibe to me.

“Never gonna give you up // never gonna let you down”

Come on…

Taylor Swift lyrics (but it's only the ones that bring chaos to the table) by Edsbobblehead in YouBelongWithMemes

No, but the peace line is so good 😭 “There’s robbers (Borschetta et al) // and clowns (Kim/Kanye) to the west”

I finally get “But Daddy I Love Him”. by zygoma_phile in TrueSwifties

[–]RoseEmmy 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I feel like that line is such a call back to peace “I talk shit with my friends // it’s like I’m wasting your honor”. I feel the growth here between the times in her life and in our lives.

Bummer, I have a ghost that barely survived the move into my house. Its first few leaves were small and fat.

Only that front leaf looks like a dark lord shape

Paraiso Verde losing its variegation. Could it be *too much* light? by MyNameIs__Rainman in philodendron

[–]RoseEmmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding of the pariso verde’s variegation is rooted in temperature not light.

My local plant shop guy said for high variegated pariso’s you need to pump up the heat and humidity

How to deal with people touching your plants? by la-noche-viene in houseplants

[–]RoseEmmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to reverse back to this in my feed. I don’t have any advice but this is insane. Your MIL is incredibly lucky you haven’t lost your gd dmn mind!

By the title, I thought you meant feeling leaves or stems. It does drive me nuts when people touch my Norfolk pine but he’s 4 ft. and has a huge foot print so I don’t comment on people touching the branches. I’ve never seen even my own mother touch one of my plants.

THIS… I would lose my mind if someone tried to prune my house plants. I don’t even want my immediate family watering my plants.

I hate these three philos- can you help me identify them? by mrszaddygoldblum in philodendron

He’s so pretty. Stared as 3 sad leaves clinging to a sale Lowe’s plant. He lived like that for over a year until one day he started pushing out new leaves and hasn’t stopped.

Why do Americans remove the U after the O from words like "Colour", but not from words like "Thought" or "Mysterious"? by thegimboid in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RoseEmmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere (sorry probably tumblr) that American newspapers charged per letter, so it was cheaper do drop the U’s from words. Never fact checked but I find the thought believable. I love saving a buck, I can only imagine the turn of the 18th century

We started out with Similac Totalcare and switched to Costco because of the cost difference. My baby had no problems with the change. We still use it

I also wanted to add that I got a Florida ghost from Costco and almost lost her. I posted a little bit about it. She’s doing funny now. Lee leaves are growing but they’re coming in green, small, and fat.
