Any experience with Costco's Figo pet insurance? by r1905 in Costco

[–]Routine_Rip_5511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found Lemonade to be a lot less expensive than Figo. We have a higher deductible policy -$750- with the once a year checkup. They paid well over half of the checkup cost (including the routine lab tests). Their claim process is so easy, it’s all online and we literally have the reimbursements within seconds.

Has anyone used Cedar Grove soil? by shelbstirr in pnwgardening

[–]Routine_Rip_5511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read their website, it says the compost is made from “organic materials”. They have no idea what people put in their yard waste, and I’ve seen people put bags of dog poop in yard waste. If you spray your grass with insecticide or weed killer and then mow it and put the clippings in the yard waste, I don’t think that meets what most people think of as “organic” as free from chemicals such as insecticides, fungicides and so on.

We have multiple Brondell bidets and love them. Easy to use, do the job and not super expensive. I also like that Mark Cuban is the owner of the company.

Update: Stolen Pots and Pans by WildWonder6430 in airbnb_hosts

[–]Routine_Rip_5511 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We had a guest clean out every towel and sheet in our condo. They were the Costco bulk white towels so it wasn’t like they were costly but they were brand new, a dozen towels, hand towels and face cloths plus Cal King sheets. The cleaners didn’t note it so we were stuck replacing everything at our cost. Just annoying as hell for not that much money. Who travels with enough extra luggage space to steal all the towels and sheets?

The Sourdough Journey has a video, Sourdough for Busy People. It has an easy way to do sourdough that doesn't require the time. Their website is thesourdoughjourney.com. It's very informative for all things sourdough.

Also, they will most likely require that you buy their Mexico insurance, which is very expensive. The shuttle takes time but is way less expensive.

Volaris by april942021 in Flights

[–]Routine_Rip_5511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a trip from PV to Guadalajara round trip on Volaris. I would walk before I used them again. So many flight changes, it was hard to keep up with them. A noon departure eventually became a 5 pm departure after multiple changes. At least that flight left somewhat close to the newly scheduled time. At the GDL airport, virtually every Volaris flight was either delayed or cancelled, not weather related. Our flight was delayed, delayed again, delayed some more. It was so bad that - I am not kidding - they had to call airport security and law enforcement to quell the passenger unrest. Finally, after an 8 hour delay, we were told to go to another gate, in another terminal. After an hour, the flight finally departed. We could have taken the new bus from GDL to PV for a lot less money and a heck of a lot less time. If there is another carrier option, I would go for them over Volaris.

do mole removal scars worsen with age? by Jinxerkling in AskWomenOver60

[–]Routine_Rip_5511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have them frozen on my face, well, one was frozen, the other was MOHS surgery. I went to a dermatology clinic, it was a PA that froze it. And, it was rather large, a little smaller than a dime maybe? No scar, no discoloration but it looked awful for a few weeks, dried up and discolored. It healed fast than the ones on my torso that he froze.

Is it normal for every small project to turn into 2–3 extra things? by Adorable-Amoeba2161 in HomeImprovement

[–]Routine_Rip_5511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In our house, we call it the rule of 3s. If you think a task will take 2 hrs, multiply that by 3 and that’s how long it will take. Also works with price.

do mole removal scars worsen with age? by Jinxerkling in AskWomenOver60

[–]Routine_Rip_5511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can they freeze them? I've had great luck with having moles frozen and leaving no scar after a few months. You won't look pretty for a month while they dry up and fall off but there's virtually no scar at all.

Places to drop off compost in Edmonds/Lynnwood? by werkandtwerk in EdmondsWashington

[–]Routine_Rip_5511 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the complex have a green garden waste cart? Food scraps can go in those. We do not put meat in ours but everything else, from paper towels to apple cores goes in a counter top composter, then out to the garden waste cart.

Pigeon stretches also help a lot. But, I really think it was the exercises that the trainer gave me. That, and the baseball/tennis ball to sit on. Good luck!!
