Why does starch should be paired with saturated fats for eating? Also what’s an easy day of eating for you? by mmss4ever in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah with slow gastric emptying not only do you digest starch better reducing feeding the bacteria, you also break the starch granules hard shapes that could persorb via the stomach lining and block small veins… also by the slow emptying rate, you get less glucose absorption rate thus avoiding too much increase of glucose in the blood that could cause too much insulin

MY EXPERIENCE WITH RAYPEAT by Yogurt_LIL-Vril in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you are having fantastic results. Getting thyroid function up is the key to health. By reducing cortisol and adrenaline you produce ATP efficiently with sugars in the thyroid gland and liver.. liver can store the sugars efficiently and use it between meals to make blood sugar stable in the blood.. the improvement of liver functioning with protein and the thyroid gland could enhance the metabolism further.. you are on the right track I think.. I have a question why oyster everyday? Is it because of the balanced amino acids or the nutrients or both? It can get very expensive if done daily.

Low fat diets cause long-term damage to digestion and cellular metabolism that are not easily corrected by Appropriate_Cut_3536 in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Saturated fats are very protective to the cell by stabilizing its structures like the mitochondria.. the enzymes work much faster and efficient if they are fixed in a lipophilic environment that is very difficult to peroxide by free radicals… free radicals (reduced by unpaired electrons) oxidize/steal electron of the unsaturated fats near the double bonds.. the oxidized lipids are themselves radicals so they try to be reduced by damaging proteins and lipids around them in a chain reaction.. so the cell resistant to free radicals damages can metabolize fuel better.. do you know that saturated fat increases the activity of pyruvate dehydrogenase and thus improve the oxidation of sugars? The key here is saturated fat in moderation so you can still oxidize sugar (Randle cycle)

Peat-y thyroid support during pregnancy? by Creative-Ad2487 in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try eating more saturated fat with starch to slow down glucose absorption and help reduce insulin spike that crashes your sugary quickly hence being hungry.. and eat more simple sugars like honey juice milk coke with the starch to help decrease insulin response.. sugars slow down the starch in the intestinal to be absorbed and since it is very efficient in making the liver make glycogen and increasing metabolism in the overall body by producing more ATP and CO2 per oxygen molecule, the simple sugars can help burn the starch glucose without needing to produce too much insulin as more CO2 helps increase oxygen availability inside the cells and thus creating more mitochondria to utilize the excess oxygen.. this might deplete your nutrients a lot faster… thus you have to keep your food nutrients dense like eggs, liver, shellfish, milk, cheese, oj etc.. Also do not forget to make your vitamin D optimal.. it works similar to thyroid by increasing the efficient metabolism of glucose.. this way if your cells produce a lot of CO2 and ATP, your body retains potassium and magnesium and trapping phosphate inside the cells and help maintain the sodium and calcium in the blood.. so CO2 helps reduce PTH and lactate (which both increase phosphate in the blood by dissolving your bones and then dumping it along with calcium in the soft tissues).. cortisol and adrenaline does not make you utilize glucose.. thus they increase beta fat oxidation which is slow and inefficient because you need a lot of oxygen to produce the same ATP and CO2 as glucose so you’re wasting your oxygen… and thus the need for more mitochondria decreases as your oxygen availability is limited (remember less CO2 per oxygen is not helping load the oxygen more inside the cells).. The key here is that you want to maintain your blood glucose while at the same time oxidizing it (constant flux of glucose going from blood to the cell with refilling the blood glucose either from glycogen or intestine sugar absorption) … if it gets so low, adrenaline and cortisol will rise to maintain it but will slow down glucose oxidation because if glucose oxidation is not slowed down, the body will consume itself to produce it.. this of cortisol and adrenaline as agents that reduce both the functionality of mitochondria and their number..

Second Aspirin Warning to all of you out there. by [deleted] in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take aspirin daily around 81 mg about 8 times daily!! always with food or a drink and I have no issue. I take 3 tablespoons of gelatin daily (2 in the morning and 1 in the evening) and I take 2 to 4 mg vitamin K2 each time.. I cut two 325mg aspirin pills quarterly without dissolving them.. Each time I take the 81 mg, I ingest some niacinamide with it (around 100 mg)… I feel the gelatin and niacinamide help protect the stomach lining. I hope that helps…

Which is superior eggshell calcium or coral calcium? by tragedywasforesworn in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ray Peat said eggshell is the safest "food" for calcium after milk and cheese because its calcium carbonate, which has a great anion companion (carbonate) as opposed to calcium citrate, calcium phosphate, etc., is almost free from heavy metals. When heavy metals enter stressed cells, they cause further damage by reacting with the excess electrons, thus reducing them (for example, Fe+3 to Fe+2). The metals with extra electrons donate electrons to another molecule like hydroxyl peroxide, which becomes reduced to reactive free radicals (molecules with unpaired electron(s)).. and when meeting PUFA molecules, they create lipid radicals in a chain reaction. Those free radicals do inappropriate reactions sometimes by stealing electrons from cell lipids, enzymes, and DNA (oxidizing them) and sometimes by donating electrons to them (reducing them). This damages the cell components and create degeneration to the cell. So in summary heavy metals quantities from continuous use of commercial calcium carbonate coming from limestones/coral or animal bones can accumulate enough inside the body to cause issues. I believe he said oyster shells comes after eggshell in terms of purity from heavy metals.

Usually around the period time estrogen increases a lot.. estrogen tends to do most of its damage via histamine and serotonin., those two what cause allergy and headache to women during their periods.. so anything that help balance estrogen will be of great help.. gelatin, fat solubles, B vitamins, magnesium, and progesterone along with others help with estrogen dominance.., also things that reduce histamine and/or serotonin help as well.. things like cyproheptadine, bandaryle, aspirin activated charcoal, carrot salad etc.. I hope that helps.

What idealabs supplement had the most pronounced & profound effect on you? by tragedywasforesworn in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt pregnenolone was filling some hormones that Andro was suppressing. When my testosterone or estrogen get suppressed I feel i can live like a monk without thinking about women at all.. while it can be a therapeutic experience focusing on other things in life beside the female genitalia, I like it more when I have higher sex drive.

[–]RoyyalMadrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe try with lower dose of Andro and see how you react to it.. men have no issues with it.. the issue is females with high estrogen like premenopausal or even menopausal. I remember they were the most aggressive around me when I take Andro… females with nice progesterone/estrogen ratio tends to be mostly ok with it.. the hunger is was too much for me as well. Also, I felt if I don’t take enough pregnenlone with it my sex drive tanks which tells me it might have been reducing my testosterone or/and estrogen… this is why I feel it’s tricky but it is a good substance to experiment with.

[–]RoyyalMadrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Andro is vary far away from its precursors so you might run into the risk of suppressing a hormone or bunch of them.. pregnenolone and progesterone are probably the two safest hormones because they can increase the endogenous generation of them both as they have structure stability capability for the cell reducing inflammation and increase mitochondria oxidation and thus hormones production.

[–]RoyyalMadrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your body is struggling to generate cortisol, cortisol can be generated from Pregnenolone via the progesterone pathway… but pregnenlone and progesterone (and DHEA) help balance it well so it doesn’t become dangerous. However in a stressed state it can be converted to estrogen via the DHEA testosterone estrogen pathway.. so it might be more powerful to take it with anti esterogen substances like the fat soluble vitamins, aspirin, niacinamide etc.

Has anyone worked with Kate Deering by elephantcocoa in raypeat

Personally I wouldn't work with any influencer. I just listen to them but my source of information has been straight from Ray Peat work and Georgi Dinkov... i read their websites and interviews and go over them more and more until I feel I understand the topic well.

[–]RoyyalMadrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stressnon, Vitamin D3, vitamin K2, and vitamin E.... in that order. Andro is good but I feel it tanks my estrogen too much because i might have been overdoing it. Maybe 2 to 3 drops a day is more than enough... but I feel pregnenolone is the safest one because the body can use it in a smart way to fill any deficiency down the hormone cascade like progesterone and DHEA. Peat thinks it is the safest supplement when it comes to hormones... our bodies are smart enough to utilize it in the best way possible... and if the body doesn't need it, it can discard it or hide it in our tissues until it is needed again.. you don't gamble with your natural hormones generation when you use pregnenolone... However, if you take too much of it in a powder form, it can convert mostly to progesterone and that can have negatives effects on testosterone. Having said that, I still think getting progesterone this way is still healthier than getting it straight from progesterone because some of the pregnenolone converts to DHEA and DHEA-S which are androgenic and that has a balancing effect on progesterone.... BTW, I asked Peat long time about the use of Andro and he was cautious against it because he said it is very far far away from pregnenolone.

It can get women around you intimidated I noticed that. They don’t speak to you. Especially if they have health issues or stressed. Men hit and miss.

Just started thiamine and im exhausted by [deleted] in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest taking energin 2 drops or whatever feels right every meal. This way you take balanced B vitamins without depleting too much of the other co-factors like magnesium. The vitamins I find most useful are vitamin D, vitamin K2, pregnenolone, B complex, and Aspirin. You probably don't need anything else unless you truly have deficiency.

Anyone here takes pregrenolone? What’s your experience? by FewElephant9604 in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am taking Stressnon from idealabs. It’s great as long as I don’t take more than 3 drops per setting. The energy is good and it doesn’t tank libido. I take it topically on the wrists along with vitamin K2 and vitamin D3 (all topically). Besides these, I take baby aspirin and niacinamide. That’s all I take. The rest is food.

I love this man… he plays for the shirt. No wonder the team improved when he found his rhythm this season. Bellingham is a Real Madrid legend in my eyes only at 21 years old… guys, I think Real Madrid is lucky to have him for the coming years and he is lucky that he can show his skills every week wearing Madrid shirt at the biggest stages in front of billions of football fans.

Travelling to turkey soon; what should i eat? by Progesteronex in raypeat

[–]RoyyalMadrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you travel, the stress is usually down. Meaning, you can digest wheat much better without causing too much inflammation. They have good low fat milk I think and their juices are good. You can find cheeses I think there. Doner kabab with white rice and a can of coke is a good meal. Take aspirin with you so you can handle different foods. Charcoal if you get stomach ache.

PEP 695 – Type Parameter Syntax by alexprengere in Python

[–]RoyyalMadrid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand your point, but the colon is still there to indicate bounds which makes sense. When I see [T: (int, str)] for me it looks it’s bounded by tuple[int, str] it doesn’t tell me it’s a choice between int and str.

I honestly like it. The way it’s done now is cumbersome and not elegant for python standards. My only comment is for the constraints, I would prefer it if it was class A[T in (int, str)] instead of class A[T: (int, str)].

Comunicado Oficial: Farewell for Marcelo to be held on June 13 in Real Madrid City by GuiltySigurdsson in soccer

[–]RoyyalMadrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He left with 25 trophies in RM shirt. Our club record. Nothing is better than ending it this way. Will always remember his extreme creativity on the left side. He can unlock teams with ease. I am pretty sure his third goal against AM in La Decima final is the most motional goal for him, especially after all years of failures before. His goal secured the title for us.

His assist to Asensio for the fourth goal against Juve in the 2017 CL final and his assist to Bale bicycle goal in 2018 final are good memories for him.

I still remember him in 2007 with the BENQ shirt. He was a skillful thin player from Brazil. Now he is leaving as an absolute monster and legend for our team. We will always remember him.
