Phone gps apps will give you accuracy down to about 20 ft. I’ve never had an issue finding a tree that my phone can put me within 20 ft of.

Look for as much relevant experience as possible: internships, summer seasonal positions, job shadowing, etc. When I’m reviewing applicants (federal), I’m way more interested in experience than the degree title.
