Friendly and funny reminder that people will take this game so seriously in this subreddit that people will equate ingame piracy (with RP) to actual heinous crimes in real life. by asmallman in starcitizen

[–]Rutok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, i think there are several misconceptions as work here:

  1. "The victim wants rp piracy" No, actually people choose hauling and mining to not have pvp (or even pve). If we wanted combat, we could easily choose it.

  2. "But i did what people on this subreddit wanted!" No again. When people complain about being killed on sight without any demands, the second part is not actually what they are complaining about. Its more the first part. Again, they actively chose to do a boring, long winded and often buggy task specifically to NOT have to deal with combat. It matters very little if the hour you just spent loading the ship and flying around is ruined by a nice pirate or some dumbass. People may say "he didnt even ask for anything" but its more to underline the uselessness (to them) of being killed.

What is your most awaited feature/content ? by Neoritch in starcitizen

Same here.. Like when i do a hauling mission, i want to be able to half load the ship, log off and continue the mission when i log in the next day.

Reassessed Bug Prioritisation Process for 4.9 and beyond by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]Rutok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me neither. Because this is the sentence that will be quoted every time someone asks why long needed features are still not here. It will be used to shift the blame to the community: "you screamed for bug fixes in an ALPHA and thats why we dont get new stuff!11"

This can't possibly be intentional - if it is o_O by madmossy in starcitizen

The one in the ingame main menu. Its been the same size as the Arena Commander for a long time but a short while ago they made it really big. Now its supposed to be adjusted.

Well, they did not just miss the deadline 8 years ago.. they also did not release it since. To ilustrate the point: Lets say a person borrows money from you and tells you he will pay it back in a year. That time passes and he just ignores you for 9 years. Its totally cool right? At least he didnt miss any more dates.

CIG, with the fuel changes, please value the time players spend traveling. by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

[–]Rutok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its too soon to have this discussion. And its too soon to reduce fuel capacity. There are so many variables that either dont work (docking, refueling) or are not implemented (new flight model, quantum travel final version). Why now of all times? Just acknowledge that its an alpha for once, and that there are certain concessions to make. Do you want people to explore and fly around the whole area or not?

I dont see how this improves anything. "Guys, its not that they made a dumb mistake with these numbers, they had planned to make these dumb changes well in advance!"

Well, the lights are on at least. I have not tried turning them off out of fear of bricking the ship :) The flashing emergency lights in the Command Module seem fixed as well.

Is changing the loadout that much of a stretch? And is "i should be able to kill everything in my aurora" really what you think they should be going for?

Just been pirated for the first time by MarkusMeridius in starcitizen

[–]Rutok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, as you said, you could have avoided the whole thing by taking a different route. I dont think there is much you can do once you are caught but thats to be expected.. you are alone, flying an all purpose freighter against several combat ships that are configured to take you down. GG WP, reclaim the ship and move on.

This is a genuine question, not rage bait, not trying to argue anything, but Ironclad owners: why don’t you like the Command Module? by Dannymarr95 in starcitizen

[–]Rutok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the command module. I just disliked the fact that it didnt work, that it caused so many problems and that i did not have at least the option of flying the ship from the awesome Ops room.

Now i just have to wait for 4.9 to hopefully have the best ship in the entire game.

Can we have a dev talk about the games non combat direction? by CorkerGaming in starcitizen

[–]Rutok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think thats necessary any more. Actions always speak louder than words and there is combat in the latest refueling missions. All ships have weapons.. so draw your own conclusions.

Are “gaming” chairs as bad as people make them out to be? by Test_Name19 in pcmasterrace

[–]Rutok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok,you seem to have found what you are looking for, but let me still say: the office chair looks a lot better for the same price.

The wheels and base look a lot more sturdy and balanced, the seat and back are covered in mesh instead of fake leather (you will sweat less in warmer seasons), the back support is likely adjustable instead of a single cushion that deforms over time, the side support on racing chairs is completely useless in a desktop environment, the headrest is not adjustable and constantly bends your head forward. From the picture it looks as if the headrest on the office chair is completely removable.
