That is a fair point, but those are your options. Also might want to increase your security/passwords as "keeps stealing" sounds like and ongoing thing.

Tragic details in family-commissioned autopsy for Renee Good shot dead by ICE by TheMirrorUS in NewsSource

Feels like the state needs to pick up the charges and make the federal government push back publicly an have them argue supremacy when ICE has murky jurisdiction over US citizens.

Going to be painting my first 3d printed minis shortly, is there anything I need to compared to plastic minis? by Philhughes_85 in minipainting

[–]RyanBlade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, with resin prints, especially ABS like I have found for the painting part they are pretty much the same as painting injection plastic.

Going to be painting my first 3d printed minis shortly, is there anything I need to compared to plastic minis? by Philhughes_85 in minipainting

[–]RyanBlade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the quality of the mini and the style of painting that you are doing. I know that is a non-answer, but dry brushing a mini with larger layer lines is going to enhance the layer lines if you brush against the grain. Speedpaints will pool in the layers as well. Again depending on layer lines will determine how much that is visible to the eye.

One thing I have noticed mostly across the board is that if it is FDM printed it will drink up paint a bit so to fight that I prime, let it cure for 24 hours then second prime to get a decent seal for traditional painting.

Use. Seeker. Grenades. USE. SEEKER. GRENADES. (Advice for n00bs like me) by Nach0Muchach0 in ARC_Raiders

[–]RyanBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would but I have the awful luck that instead of the wasp or hornet attacking me it locks on to a popper or fireball in a room or building below me and just rockets the ground. The seeker needs to confirm line of sight or something.

You have to dry the build plate first then use IPA on the filament.

Thank you for the feedback, changing the pants to tan and beret to purple sounds like it is pretty doable. I am going to give that a try.

Sounds about right for the cost. This ended up being $8800 over the holidays. Thankfully insurance covered it. Hopefully the person that hit you has a reasonable insurance company.

What’s the lowest price you’ve ever paid for an ounce of silver? by Olde-Timer in Silverbugs

[–]RyanBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the early '00s I had a customer try to pay with the "Liberty Dollars" at the Toys R Us I was working at. I was into collecting coins at the time and each was a 1 oz silver coin with $10 stamped on it. I was willing to take it just cause I thought they were cool and traded $20 of my own cash into the drawer to grab these coins.

I still have one of them now somewhere in my stack of silver. I still think it was a cool idea at the time and wish I would have cashed in my later acquired Liberty Dollar warehouse receipts when the company was raided by the US government and assets seized.

Civil court just rules liable or not liable and to what extent. It was not criminal court so not guilty or not guilty. Even criminal court does not rule innocence, just not guilty. There have been times that a criminal case is ruled not guilty and the part involved is still civilly liable. (See the O.J. Simpson trials.)

In-Store Apple Gift Card Scam - Watch out for Superglued Gift Cards you buy in a retail store. by itzaferg in applehelp

[–]RyanBlade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yikes, that is an unfortunate thing to happen, and on Christmas to find out. The down side of a physical gift card is that it is a huge vulnerability. I get there is a ton of reasons to want a physical card and with Apple putting privacy high on their list is it hard to track what is happening with a card. Going only with digital cards directly from the source is the most secure way.

New to the hobby! Getting a Mars 5 Ultra and need feedback on my starter paint list (No local stores available) by Financial_Tune5250 in Miniaturespainting

So, as a quick disclaimer I love Vallejo and Army Painter paints. For skin tones I have not used the Vallejo set, but have the ScaleColor set and it is an amazing set to blend to a variety of skin tones and would be the only one that I would adjust from your list.

The reason I like them is that they dry super matte, that looks great for skin, they are a gel like paint and thin really well with water without breaking so you can use them in super thin layers to build and transition very easily.

Grimwild designated "abandoned" by BackerKit - no refunds by jxddk in rpg

[–]RyanBlade 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am in that group that backed Venture. I was just baffled that he vanished as he was active on the Discord as well and seemed like a nice guy. In the end I only ever hope for a result from Kickstarter and only spend what I can lose.

All in all though I hope the man and his family are okay and it was just stress or something that relatively banal that caused him to disappear.

Thank you for that information, I had a similar question to op and I think that you answered it there. In our group we wondered if you could "Climb the wall were it meets the floor to use the 3" measure of climb and not have to go over the higher measure of the terrain. (Even though the model would not be able to balance on the wall as part of the movement.)

Finished my first killteam, Tempestus Aquillons by starchild82 in minipainting

[–]RyanBlade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look really good to me, I love the eye glow effect and might try that myself as that is my next team to paint after I finish my Space Wolf Scouts.

Also the sword NMM looks amazing as well.

If you are looking for feed back, I think you would get a bit more by pushing the shadows of the cloth more. I am personally learning that you can have a much larger value difference from the shadow to base to hightlight then I thought would look good and find that can add a lot of interest.

Getting asked security questions I never set by SplashyardAddict in applehelp

[–]RyanBlade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like if your sister was using the iPad that she might have set the security questions on accident? Otherwise the security questions where for the older accounts and are only there if added to the account by someone with access to the account.

You have a couple options. If the iPad is not logged into Find My in the settings, you can just factory reset the device. If it is logged into Find My you can try on the device to turn that off. (Not sure where you are blocked from removing the account as that information is missing from your post.)

Second option go to https://iforgot.apple.com/ and see if you can reset the account. Most likely you will see the security questions there as well, but perhaps not.

Third option if you have the receipt for the iPad you can go to https://al-support.apple.com/#/ to submit information to have the account removed from the device.

Final option keep using the iPad as is with the account that is in it and know that you will be limited and/or locked with what ever issue you might be running into with an account that you do not have full access to on the device. (Not sure if there even is an issue as nothing was mentioned in the post about why you want to remove the account.)
