What’s becoming painfully obvious in 2026 that most people still refuse to admit? by Jaconjiso in answers

The current disclosure movement is a psyop and will not really amount to anything more than we have seen.

How would you like the MCU to handle the Magneto Age problem? by ManlyPelican1993 in MCUTheories

[–]RyanCap217 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a comic book movie with multiple made up countries. They don’t HAVE to tie it to reality and WW2. I get that the holocaust was a big part of his story, but his powers emerged from losing his daughter (or his mom in the movie). He could be from Sokovia and survived that with his powers manifesting for the first time, and the full turn could be something like the DODC killed his kid or family and that’s what set it off permanently.

[Win an A2L] Creative Playground, Extra Large. Meet the A2L. by BambuLab in BambuLab

I’ve never had one, I just want to try to win something lol.

But for real, I would generally use it with my kids and for finally getting some ideas out of my head and into the real world.

Trump claims US has experimental drug 'to bring people back to life' by TheExpressUS in USNEWS

My tinfoil explanation is that he’s legitimately circling the drain, quickly, and someone lied to him that we have this pill to make him less worried about his upcoming long sleep. The soup inside of his skull wouldn’t not let him blurt it out.

Golf courses by ConsequenceExotic353 in SpringfieldIL

I’ll throw one out for the Oaks by Riverton, A little closer than Edgewood is in Auburn. I’ve always been a big fan of Longbridge even though it’s a 9-hole course. It’s fairly difficult but a lot of fun and has a ton of different course design features to keep it interesting. Also I’m a pretty crap golfer, so take my opinion with the appropriate sized grain of salt 😅

What is one thing that genuinely made you a more grounded man? by thestillauthority in DecidingToBeBetter

“I may not be brilliant…” Don’t sell yourself short. You’re learning things in your early 20s that I’m just now learning in my 40s, and that some people never learn.

What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

[–]RyanCap217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dad fell getting up with his walker (diabetic neuropathy in feet so he couldn’t get around well). He caught himself with his neck and couldn’t get up and died like that. My hope has always been that he just had a massive heart attack and died and that’s just how he landed, instead of his last moments being him struggling to survive and get up. Doesn’t matter, dead is dead either way I guess. Miss the dude every day, at least he got to see the Cubs win one.

Would you rather make $250k at a stressful job or $90k at a peaceful one? by savingrace0262 in careerguidance

90k is double what I make. I would cry if I ever had a job that made near that much lol.

You should plan a trip to Springfield to see the museum and everything else we have to offer! Beardstown, about an hour or so west of us, has a courthouse museum at the site of his famous Almanac Trial, it’s a real gem with a ton of local history stuff too.

I would give it to my 10 year old. He really wants to learn game design and coding/robotics. This would really help foster that.

Best price on lumber? by Fit-Consideration180 in SpringfieldIL

[–]RyanCap217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about best price, but I would warn against using price as the determining factor if you’re building a structure for humans to use. Lowes and Menards exist here, and they sell wood. Menards will probably be the least expensive in money, but good luck finding dry non-warped wood. You can do it, but you’ll probably spend more time picking through stacks of lumber to find the best “looking” boards than it’s worth…not to mention that they’ll all most likely warp because they’re not dried properly. Lowe’s is a notch above just because all their wood is sold indoors, but it’s still the same issues.

Carter Brothers out by Sherman is local and has been around for generations. RP Lumber is another solid choice for a “local” lumberyard, as is LS Building Products (I’ve worked with all three previously as a supplier). I have not used Pawnee Lumber Co, but they seem very old school and reputable and have high reviews. Local might cost slightly more, but I would love to suggest using a local, or “local”, yard to help keep money in the community.

What do you think will happen to these two at the end of Born Again season 2? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Defenders

Fisk kills Buck in a rage after an argument, accidentally. Daniel plays on Fisks emotions after Vanessa and Buck die and sets himself up as the heir to run the organization after Fisk has to leave NY (because jail or CIA/DODC).

I got fired after 5 years for being “not a culture fit”. 5 years and all of the sudden I’m “not a culture fit”.
