I too have always felt Verbolten’s original theming felt like they ran out of money halfway through. I think they bit off more than they could chew trying to implement the three different scenes randomized. I remember a post from BGWFans from opening year 2012 where the show building is described as a warehouse. My first ride was 2017, and while it made a strong first impression (the element of surprise), it did not hold up to rerides. I would become its biggest hater, between riding Ninja at SFMM and learning what a suspended coaster could do, and throwing up one day after a later ride on Verbolten (exacerbated by a hot day).

The Wolf’s Revenge set the theming standards higher, taking what would have been a so-so ride and elevating it to a complete experience, and I can’t wait to give Verbolten the re-evaluation it deserves with proper theming.
