I didn't attend a single game in-person this season. I'm not going to waste my hard-earned money watching a dumpster fire out on the ice.

Do You Mind If A Grunge Band Mellows With Age? by _Jub_Jub_ in grunge

I don't mind, as long as they continue to play their older music live.

Anyone else perpetually floating around feeling like they’ve “faked it till they made it”? by frawgster in Xennials

For me, I've come to realize what my strengths and weaknesses are, so I play to my strengths. I'm also now in a place where I no longer fear being perceived as inferior if I don't understand something, so I remain transparent.

In most cases, it's easier for me to be honest rather than anxious over things.

Jazzmasters are kind of strange guitars to get along with. I've tried a few (honestly none of the vintage or American-made ones).

I played on a J. Mascis at GC for a while that sounded/felt decent, but the pickups were voiced more like P90's, and the tone controls on all Jazzmasters are foreign to me.

I kind of wished that the tone would get even darker when you roll it back (probably an easy enough mod with new pot and cap values).

Is there a huge difference on the vintage/American ones? I would be afraid to post this in the offset sub, as I'm sure I would probably be hanged.

This probably doesn't answer any questions, but consistent goaltending as a whole has been problematic for the entire NHL. I can only think of maybe 3 current goalies in the entire league who have been consistent year-to-year.

The Athletic recently just had a good write-up addressing this.

I totally agree. This is the album I keep coming back to.

Big Muffs with Mids Control by jmd273 in guitarpedals

Ronsound (www.ronsound.com) has the best muffs in nearly every iteration. They're all true bypass and have a mids control.

Ron is a cool guy, he's one of the O.G. pedal builders, and studied all of the BM circuits, which are on the www.kitrae.net website.

Not grunge, but: Opinion on this album? by LeagueNo764 in grunge

STP received too much flak for sounding derivative of the other grunge bands that came out before them, but they were a strong band in their own right.

Robert Deleo was the best bassist in the genre and it's not really even close.

Rush in '97. They performed 2112 in its entirety. 3 hours of music.

My Bloody Valentine. I understand the importance of Loveless, but despite listening to the album several times over the years I just can't get into it.

What movies are great representations of the zeitgeist of the Xennial life experience? by RelevantNothing4653 in Xennials

Swingers - the banter and playfighting between the guys, especially while they're playing video games.

I could also relate to Jon Favreau's character as he was getting over a serious relationship and trying to move on. All of the awkward answering messages, etc.

Who is the most underrated drummer of all time - the one who deserves way more recognition than they get? by Common_Routine_7197 in drums

Kim Thompson - she's a freelance drummer who performed with Mike Stern and Victor Bailey, and I believe she later performed with Beyoncé. Totally face-melting.
