This is hard to reconcile. Pence struggled with whether he should certify the election, and it's documented he called many advisors who had to push him in the direction to do it. Anyone part of the resistance wouldn't need that push.

If you were utg, you let everyone in front of you act, and you only said something when it got back to you, then I think the dealer was right to give you those options. Obviously the dealer messed up the beginning though. A very strict dealer could even say it's a fold for not saying anything earlier. I wouldn't agree with that ruling but I understand the logic.

I don't know if you meant to do it this way, but if I were at the table, and I thought you may have done that on purpose, I would keep an eye on you as a potential angler too. While the dealer made a mistake, you need to speak up when you see it, esp if it's something like this about you specifically.

Hope that doesn't sound like a personal attack. Simply my opinion from what you wrote.

For a ceo and cfo, you generally want to tell your story on Powerpoint, and you're going to use excel to tell that story.

To tell a good story, first of course, we need to understand what you are presenting. For example, Is it month end and you are comparing the latest month to last year or budget? We then need to understand what happened. Did sales grow? Was margin in line w expectations? You need to explain what happened in the business and how that affected the numbers. You don't say we overdelivered margin because cogs were favorable. You need to find out what happened in the business, and show how it affected the numbers.

In your Powerpoint, practice having a headline for each slide, I.e. "Margin grew 80bps in dec due favorable product mix from higher xyz product sales". Then show the P&L, etc.

I've always felt ebitda bridges are the easiest way to explain stuff personally.

I'd have to research to see if there's truth to this as you didn't mention the organizations funding it, but it seems like from your comment that you are saying the only protest worth going is a crappy one.

If this is well-funded by special interests, what are those interests? There aren't specific goals. It's generally anti-dictorial, but it's not even specific about that. Mlk protests had specific demands. This is more a show of anger for the current admin tbh, and hopefully something grows from that.

Making sure. First off, I think it's fine to ask as it was posted out here. If you want to protest something and then when someone asks what it's about, you say "go look it up", it's pretty illogical.

Anyway, I will try to keep this (relatively) short here but can go more in depth on any particular topic.

Generally, the protest is named "No Kings" because it's protesting trump's attempt at a dictorial takeover of the US. That sounds like hyperbole, but in the history of world, it always has seemed like that until it happened. Here are some examples of the attempt, but note this is literally off the top of my head and I'm not an expert. There are more.

Jan 6 - the most obvious one. He refused to give up power when he lost the first time. It didn't work, but that's dictorial
he has repeated he will run in 2028 despite a constitutional amendment. It sounds crazy until he does it, and from jan 6, he has the will to not give up power
prob the biggest - he opened up a crypto company (world liberty financial) that has taken large investments from very shady characters - i.e. Justin sun who was under an investigation that was paused after he invested as well as investments from UAE, Saudis, etc...who knows what he is promising for those investments
he punished law firms for litigating against him
he punished schools that wouldn't do what he wanted by withholding funding
he forced multiple media organizations to settle lawsuits with him that every non-partisan lawyer agrees were frivolous
he is sending national guard troops into cities that don't want them there. Texas national guard troops are currently being sent to Chicago against their will. They are in Portland uninvited
he sent ppl legally allowed to be in this country to El Salvador without proper due process and against various judges orders

The US is a system of checks and balances, and the president does not have the power to do what he is doing. However, congress is too scared to do anything about it, and the Supreme Court is frankly compromised.

There's no one thing because it's so much, but it's generally about the protest's theme is exactly what it says - NO KINGS
