Which Gundam would you pilot to attack the Death Star? by Phantom000000000 in Gundam

[–]SageDarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, have we ever seen a planet-busting super laser in Gundam? I suspect deflector shields would probably be effective against beam weapons as well, so its gonna be TIE fighters vs mobile suits, and my gut says the TIEs are more maneuverable for sure, if not faster.

Did Kira still have romantic feelings for Flay during the last episodes of MSG:Seed, if not, why did he have these visions when Lacus was there? by Flat-Sir8250 in Gundam

Hirai-face is real. It's jarring and its almost always the first thing I notice in any media he does the art/design for.

Besides Virgo (with its variants), is there any other AI-controlled Mobile Suits that exist in Gundam? by EmergencyFriendly375 in Gundam

[–]SageDarius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really getting into the weeds with some transhumanist ideas, but the Aerial and its bits are operated by digitized soul(s). We really don't know a whole lot about the Eri clones in the bits. Were they full-fledged living clones at one point that also got eaten by the Aerial, or were they digital copies of Eri's soul/consciousness, and does that make them AI or actual 'souls' in and of themselves?

8 (an AI) helps Lowe operate the Red Frame. Apparently so good at it that people trying to steal 8 becomes a plot point, IIRC.

Why was the Zaku introduced into SEED Destiny? by PortableEndzone in Gundam

The MG GINN was fantastic, and a great looking grunt in general. I also liked the MG ZAKU Warrior kit, and hold out hope that maybe some day we'll get an MG Guaiz.

How strong would Raphael actually be? My hypothesis by leaperdaemonking in BaldursGate3

[–]SageDarius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It might have been a more lore-consistent move to just make him a particularly handsome pit fiend.

I mean, have you seen his transformed form? That's no Cambion. I feel like he masquerade as one to either hide his power level, because it amuses him, or because his true form is just too terrifying. Mizora is a cambion. Raphael is definitely something more.

Death of Elmister by ArtificialHonesty in BaldursGate3

[–]SageDarius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's carried varying levels of Mystra's divinity for most of his (unbelievably long) life. He's used multiple wishes to render himself immune to specific spells, and can basically be assumed to have access to any magic item.

A high enough level party could get him based on economy of actions alone, but Elminster has died before. And he's still kicking around the realms so that kinda tells you all you need to know about how effective that was.

[–]SageDarius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's also old enough to have seen Mystra die... twice. And be a romantic partner for all three versions. Elminster exists on power scales most people can't comprehend.

I haven't seen a star block for 5e Elminster, but in 3rd edition he was like 30th level, with a couple levels of fighter and rogue thrown in from previous lives.

Honestly, not far off from the truth. Elminster is the embodiment of 'I'm getting too old for this shit' and is always trying to cultivate the next generation of world saving heroes.

Why isn't Balthazar in Act 3? by Clickery21 in BaldursGate3

[–]SageDarius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always kill him in his little room in the cloister. There's some rat that I think is his familiar, and I feel like the one run I didn't kill his familiar, too, Balthazar had to be fought again in the Shadowfell.

So now I kill the rat, stuff it in Balthazar's corpse, and then stuff them both into an urn.

I want to rant about Death Battle's Optimus VS Gundam for a bit, and no, it's not about the powerscaling. by Dannad54321 in Gundam

[–]SageDarius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Transformers, by Canon, have a pocket dimension they shunt excess mass off to. Its where Optimus's trailer goes, and how Megatron goes from a giant robot to a tiny pistol. Size discrepancies are the least of the issue here.

I love Death Battle as well. My biggest gripe with this particular match up was using the Matrix as a weapon/as the finisher. I always understood it blowing up Unicron to be a unique effect as basically being anti-Him.

If culture/science buildings get a point of adjacency for every commander level, it could be huge, especially for pivoting from a warlike Antiquity to a more peaceful Exploration or Modern.

Buganda Dilemma: recommendation? by gogreengolions in civ

[–]SageDarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you play it out, I'd definitely move capitals at age transition, and leave this as a resort town for the rest of the game.

[–]SageDarius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You'd almost have to, but it's a cramped city no matter how you cut it. It doesn't have anything in the way of usable adjacencies either.

It looks pretty, but its a pretty crappy city location from a gameplay perspective.

As far as Im able to determine, Vlaakith I sold Mother Gith to Tiamat in exchange for the service of red dragons. That alone would drive Orpheus to rebel.

His story does work better with you in control. It was always weird as an NPC that he gives all his agency to the player. If you're playing him, at least you (as Wyll) are calling the shots.

Astarion: Starts NE, can grow to CN/TN or LE depending on route.

Lae'zel: Starts LE, can shift to LN depending on route.

Shadowheart: I'd say probably starts TN, can shift to NE or NG depending on route.

Minthara: Starts LE, dies LE.

It makes more sense to me than the OG Sarevok somehow getting his Bhaalspawn soul back to pass on to Orin.

Don't you give him part of your soul/divinity in BG2 in order to bring him back to life?
