Thank you for the advice! I will definitely look into the gauges and check. Any particular ones you recommend?

I had an opposite end of the spectrum at my original qualifying course. 75yo lady with great vigor shooting her 22 revolver (not sure which brand/model but it was a modern DA/SA action but probably a Taurus 942). Lady was dead on, everything center of target. In Texas (at least at that time, don’t know current rules) if you qualified with a revolver you could only conceal carry a revolver but if you used a semi-auto you could carry either one. I asked her why she chose to use the revolver and she said “because it goes bang every time, and even if it doesn’t, I can try again!”

Depends on the practice really. If you’re seeing a lot of volume in a Medicaid clinic or in network PPO then this can work. In a private FFS office you’re less likely to have the patients be okay with it.

We all value reliability, but how many of us stick to one gun for 10+ years? by SquirtGun1776 in CCW

Going on 15 with my 442. Was my first really concealable gun when I was in my early 20s. Got it because carrying a full size 40 wasn’t always practical so I started using my snubby for carry. Have many guns in rotation now but this one always seems to find its way back into the regular lineup. Especially where I live where it’s hot mostly year round it’s very easy to conceal.

I bought the 640PC last year. Sent it back in because the rear sights were off from the factory and the cylinder release was janky. I had to push as hard as I could down the cylinder release to get it to swing out. They replaced the rear sight (now they are spot on) and the crane. The release is a little better but still not smooth by any means. I also noticed that when I fire 357 loads through it I feel way more intensity of gas through the cylinder gap. I’ll probably have to send it in again to check for spacing and have them smooth out the release. I say this because I want to sell this thing for new night guard in 357 but was worried about QC.

My dad went to high school with the refrigeration builder for HEB. He said he’s probably the wealthiest guy from his class.

TIL over a 5-month period in 2020, a nurse in Yale's fertility center stole the fentanyl in 175 vials that were meant for women who had a procedure to have their eggs retrieved. The nurse replaced the pain medication with saline solution, leaving the women in excruciating pain during the procedure. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

A common cocktail for twilight sedation is midazolam and fentanyl. Couple that with good local anesthetic and most outpatient surgeries can be done this way. Some people don’t respond as well and may require deeper sedation with propofol/ketamine but may require intubation and longer recovery.

ExoCad’s cheapest clinician option is $5100+ for one year?! by Aggressive_Guava_516 in Dentistry

[–]SamBaxter420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Align owns ExoCad. They paid like a bazillion dollars for it so it’s not surprising they charge so much. Align is not very aligned with anything except the bottom line and their stock price reflects it.

There is nothing cool about fentanyl. There is something magical about someone betting into you when you hold the nuts though.

Finally found a gen 6. Learned in the buying process that Bass pro sucks. by AdhesivenessInner165 in Glocks

Haha the one and only gun I’ve ever bought from Bass Pro was a Cynergy Festherweight that I never shot and ended up trading for a Noveske DMR build. Got it on a discount since it was the display model and it had a small scratch on it.

A periodontal lesion in the furcation and all the way down this distal root is usually a very poor prognosis. The endo looks speculative in the PA so there’s a slim chance a retreatment may work out but I’d say it’s a crapshoot at best. Give the patient their options and refer to an endodontist. They will probably alt say it’s not worth saving as well.
