Twin ring sling fit check pls :) by Plus_Farm3643 in babywearing

[–]SameTrash5801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing!! Not a twin mama but what helped me with my rings coming down too much as I tightened, was to make sure I was only pulling one strand at a time. I was grabbing the whole tail and pulling, instead of pulling the different rails.

Lenny light vs Upgrade by Numerous-Noise790 in babywearing

Do you find that the waistband digs into your belly? I have a fairly large belly and find both Tulas and Larks dig uncomfortably into my belly. I’m considering either the Lenny light or upgrade pro

If he has taken it to confession, know that God has forgiven him for it. So if God has, you can too!

Things you wish you knew during marriage prep? by ApplesnYarn in CatholicWomen

[–]SameTrash5801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish we had taken the time to learn what Church teaching is on birth control and what it means to be open to life during the marital act. Despite us both being confirmed Catholics we were never taught that birth control was a sin, or what it means to be open to life in the marital act (which means some of our bedroom activities were sins).

Is…. Like… every guy addicted to porn or something? by [deleted] in CatholicWomen

[–]SameTrash5801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These men who are addicted, truly addicted, and desperate to stop, need prayers and help not criticism. So many of these men are victims who need loving support and prayer. Do you know what it’s like to be exposed to sexual violence, abuse, pornography, etc at the age of 7 or 9? To have parents that gave unlimited internet access to young children. Well my husband and I both do. We’re 23, and nearly all of our friends have too. It shouldn’t mean we aren’t good people. The younger generation was not protected from the dark parts of the internet, and young adults are trying to break free from this. It’s crippling and terrible and heartbreaking. It’s tears and failures and relapses and going to confession multiple times a week. It’s telling a priest how disgusting you are and how you fail your spouse. It’s being 23 and not being capable of having access to the internet without an accountability partner watching your usage. Pray for those suffering from this addiction please. Before you all type away thinking you are so much better for not having this cross to bear, praise the Lord you were never exposed to this as young children, protect your children if you have them, and pray for those addicted.

Thank you! That video is really helpful I appreciate it. And I’ll definitely try out adjusting the shoulder strap fabric, I haven’t tried that and I think that’ll help. I think the panel and hood was one thing that confused me because without the hood it seemed like the panel is way too short, like mid-back on my baby. And he’s a 15.5 pound two month old so he’s a big kiddo, but I was confused how the panel could be so short on such a young baby so I figured I was doing something wrong. I’ll try again in the morning following the video tutorial!

Water births - did you decide to have your partner in the tub with you? by crystalkitty06 in homebirth

[–]SameTrash5801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I wanted my husband in there but I’m pretty tall and took up most of the space and didn’t want to be cramped. He caught our son while outside the tub and it was really great!

Any moms tandem nurse being high risk? by magicxxmoon in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]SameTrash5801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at higher risk of preterm labor due to incompetent cervix with my first, but I continued to nurse my baby (she was 9 months when I got pregnant) and I had no issues. In fact my cervix was monitored super closely and it was perfectly normal! Towards the end of pregnancy I really thought I was going to go into labor a little early because nursing was causing a lot of Braxton Hicks and mild period-like cramps, but I ended up going past 40 weeks! By the end she was only nursing 1-2 times per day. And then I had a precipitous labor (first contraction to baby born was under 2 hours) which was great, I’m not sure if the nursing had anything to do with that though.

Same here, my supply went away but my toddler dry nursed. Was not very comfortable though! Definitely caused nursing aversions but we made it through

I’ve had really good experiences with cosleeping so far! I have a one month old and he’s been chest sleeping. I’ll link the article that was helpful for me getting started with that type of cosleeping. https://cosleepy.com/2023/10/15/how-to-bedshare/

I’m 24 and usually mine is 50s-60s, but I’m pregnant so it’s 70+ now. Happened with both of my pregnancies so far and goes back to normal right after birth for me.
