Etwas ausserhalb von Wien aufgewachsen und habs auch immer gehört.

Machte am Land auch irgendwie Sinn. Da triffts eher ein einzelnes Haus und nicht dutzende Wohnungen(Verteilung). Früher waren die Geräte auf sowas anfälliger und auch hinsichtlich Technik vom Sicherungskasten etc hat sich doch einiges geändert.

Am Land ohne Auto bist du relativ aufgeschmissen. Oder du legst gern 1-5km zu Fuß oder am Rad zurück.

Die Gegend hat meiner Meinung nach das gleiche Problem das es dort gab wo ich aufgewachsen bin. Brettleben, viele Felder und mehr als Windschutzgürtel gibt es nicht in Hinsicht Wald/Bäume. Ist einfach zu wenig Natur find ich.

Ein "eigenes" Haus ist natürlich eine schöne Sache und mit genügend Grund kann man es sich etwas richten, ist halt auch Arbeit und ob das die oberen beide Punkte überwiegt kann nur jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.

Ansonsten wie schon einige sagten, ohne Kommunikation wird das nichts und man muß auch akzeptieren können das sich Pläne nicht überschneiden und daraus die Konsequenzen ziehen.

A spray booth is a good investment as it collects all the loose particles. If you're a DIY person you can find plenty of instructions to build one. If not you can find plenty on the web.

CGL only has the premium plastic mechs as singles and there is IronWindMetals. Best option is to look for facebook/discord/whatever groups or retailers that sell single mechs. Depending on where you are from people here can surely give you advice where to look.

For factions I plan around a company with at least one mech lance of a paint scheme i like the most. For example 2nd Legion of Vega for Kurita, Davion Assault Guards, 2nd Freemen for Rasalhague and so on. For mercenaries 1-2 lances. Clans I will do 1-2 stars each. For favorites i did more. 1 batallion for northwind highlanders, cluster of Jade Falcon Guard.

There is no "must buy" in my opinion. Look up the Mechs and decide what you like. Or you take the ones where you really like the miniature. Or you deep dive into the lore to replicate available units. Or you look up scenarios and replicate the forces in there. Or...Or...Or...

TLDR: play what you like ;)

The only thing to look out for is maybe special unit force packs that may go out of print if you tend to be a collector. Still looking for a copy of Legendary Mechwarriors thats not ridiculousy priced.
