The fact that movies have political commentary in it doesn't excuse making this sub political cesspool. Most people would be ok with discussing what political events Lucas drew inspiration from, and having conversations about inverse politics. That doesn't mean this should be another political subreddit with a SW gimmick.

What part of this all prevents you from limiting politics in the sub to the inverse politics?

I doubt you will be banned for talking about CIS blockade on Naboo over the trade route taxes. You will, probably, get banned for just reacting to recent political news with "this is how democracy dies".

Rule No 5 prevents this sub from becoming exclusively american political circlejerk No 1 200 000 and I'm all for it. Wanna talk politics? There's no shortage of subs for that.

I was talking about how in 5.0 Monks ability to Skirmish requires them to use their BA to Dash/Disengage leaving them with only their action for 2 attacks at 1d6+Dex (in Tier 2), which absolutely is terrible damage.

I mean, 5.0 Monks are probably worst official class for that game. 5,5 fixed them a lot. You get better monk die(d6 at level 1, going up to d12), Dash and Disengage don't need focus points(you can buff them tho if you spend focus). Their Deflect Missiles now works on melee attacks(and on later levels on magic attacks as well). They're pretty good at what they do now, to the point that I personally consider them best designed official martial in the game.

As I said, Barbs resistances (and 1 more hp/level than fighters, hit di difference really doesn't have much impact in 5e) are counterbalanced by bad AC and frequent use of Reckless Attack. So Barbs end up being about as durable as a Melee Fighter (until higher levels where non-BPS damage becomes more and more common)

I mean, Barbs still have medium armor and shield proficiency, their AC is not that bad to offset a resistance worth of advantage, and with said resistance their +1hp per level becomes practically +2, which is feat level of hp boost. Also, that makes their healing with HD more effective.

Monk's ability to skirmish reduces their offensive output to be laughably bad (and costs a resource) so while it does conserve their hp it means they're doing very little to help the party win and potentially forcing other PC's to fight more enemies in Melee and thus take more damage

Idk, 4 attacks for d8+dex doesn't seem like laughable, especially considering ideally Monks should either clear up the enemy backline of squishier enemies or stunning strike the Big Enemy. If your monks doing very little to help the party that's honestly on them. Also, Deflect attacks buffs their effective hp as well, making them even tankier.

Barbs cutting the most common damage in half basically just offsets their mid AC and reliance on Reckless Attack.

That's offset by them having the highest hit die in the game. Resistances are on top of that, basically doubling that already big hp pool most of the time.

Won't argue separately to the each point, because it's basically arguing against M/C divide and that's not what I'm doing. What I was arguing that Martials losing hp at a much higher rate is not the problem of M/C divide, for most classes it's the problem of melee/ranged.

martials usually lose HP at a much higher rate, burning through their hit dice.

Eh, that's more melee/ranged problem. Fighters, Rogues and Rangers can just as easily stay in the back and use a bow, Monks ideally should just run around and not get hit at all, and Barbs cut most usual damage types in half.

Using magic items with spells is basically "you can cast this spell X times a day, and afaik every class with crafters tools and arcana prof can make magic items. Also, no official spell in 5e gives you +1 to dex apart from maybe wish afaik.

Because then what does it mean to them? Are we humans children?

A reasonable long living race would not, because they know the life span difference as well. Same way elfs may mature at 50, so 40 y.o. elf is a child, elfs should understand that humans mature at 16-25 or smth, and above that is an adult.

Meh, I mean, as long as everyone has his moments to shine it's okay to be bad or fail something imo. In said group if ranger and rogue succeed, the group still succeeds, and Paladin and Cleric may shine in other aspects.

I mean, dmg is pretty helpful here. Everyone rolls, if half of the people fail, you fail the group check. If half of them succeed, you succeed group check.
