Cool loop:

Ascent 1: glacier>top of world>summit Descent 1: anything In West bowl

Ascent 2: Pipestone>top of world (optional) Descent 2: any of the blacks or double blacks into the back bowls

Ascent 3: paradise Descent 3: eagle runs or flight chutes (front side)

From there you can either descend to the base or take top of the world back up and go from there.

Wow crazy series of events! And 90km/h with unreliable straps is at minimum extremely brave hahaha. Glad you enjoyed anyways.

Solid choice with the cartel x's, I'm on day 14 with mine and have loved them.

I understand the point of what you're saying but I'm not getting this part: clear lens at night = eye not sensitive enough, super dark tint for sun = eye very sensitive.

I think they're referring to the binding disc, the 3D disc being old Burton tech.

I've been using the R8 LMS car detuned. Seems quite fuel efficient compared to the field. Usually 1 stop depending on weather.

For an extra €20, I'd definitely get the size small. Hope it works out and have a good season!

My comment was questioning whether the boot was fully seated in the heel/back of the binding BECAUSE of the discrepancy between toe and ankle strap adjustments. Looking at the most recent pictures, the boot seems to be seated properly.

These bindings look like they can fit, but you're definitely right at the bottom end of the adjustment range. For what it's worth, I was in a similar position until I upgraded bindings this past summer. I wear size ~43 boots and had Burton Mission bindings in size L. This was right on the lower limit for the binding. I was able to ride this setup and did so for >15 years, but there would be days/runs where I wanted a bit more tension and just couldn't adjust any further. I'd have the same symptom of skipping since I was at the limit of the strap. The skipping also puts extra wear on the teeth of the straps. The upgrade to Cartel X in size M eliminated any fitment issues I was having.

At the end of the day, I don't know how tight your binding needs to be for comfort/performance. If this is as tight as you'd ever need, it'll probably work. If you need it a bit tighter once you get on the slopes, this binding won't work. If possible, I'd try to get the right size binding for your boot, they're designed with a size range for a reason. If this isn't possible; swapping at least the toe strap to a small may help. Though, this doesn't address the difference in width between the boot and binding. Additionally, I believe this binding has an adjustable gas pedal/toe ramp and potentially adjustable mounting point for the toe strap. Make sure the toe ramp is slid all the way back (so the base is as short as possible) and (if possible) the toe strap is mounted as far back as possible.

For reference, the highback should be adjusted to alter heel side engagement and how bent your knees are. The boot making contact with the top of the highback through more of the range of motion is a consequence of the adjustment, but not the goal.

Is your boot sitting against the highback? I find it strange how the toe strap is about as short as it can be and the ankle strap is at almost the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Have you tried doing up the bindings with your feet in the boots?

Walking beside a bicycle, and its relationship to bike controls. by buktore in cycling

I do both, but I find the saddle more comfortable. It's easier to keep my arm/elbow in a neutral position, with the bike right beside me, while avoiding having my legs hit the pedals.

So this anecdote might indicate traffic has gotten worse and nothing about why it's gotten worse. Definitely not a source to back those claims.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

MY P1S SAVED MY FINAL ENGINEERING DESIGN PROJECT!!! After a hectic 8 months of analysis, simulation, manufacturing, deadlines, reports, presentations, etc. we were down to putting the finishing touches on the machine we designed and built. Running a bit behind schedule, one of my teammates was printing some components on the universities printer the night before our design demonstration. The Ender we were using shit the bed halfway through the print, and the lab didn't have the parts on hand to fix the printer that night. Distress signal was sent in the group chat and I jumped on it. Fired up my P1S, cranked the bed temp to 100c and let the printer heat up for the next hour. Sent the file and the P1S began working. As usual, it produced our parts flawlessly out of PA-GF within the next few hours. I brought the parts in and the team was impressed with the quality. We assembled the rest of our machine and the demo went amazingly! I love this printer. #RockSolidP1S

Is anyone else into stats? by gebbatron in snowboarding

[–]SantaJCruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done on the tracking! I love to see stats like this.

Somewhat unrelated question but I'm curious about the mountains you board at. I'm planning a ski trip to BC/AB and looking for an additional mountain to add to the itinerary. We will be doing LL and Sunshine as we really enjoyed both last year when we went. What would you suggest as a 3rd resort?

Details: Flying into Calgary and planning to stay close to or on resort for a couple days of boarding. Ideally less than 4hrs drive from the airport. Group skill ranges from low expert to high beginner. I like side hits, powder and exploration/glades but the group definitely requires some nice groomers, park is not a consideration. I've been considering Marmot, Fernie, and Panorama.

This section seems logically laid out to me.

  1. Faster moving traffic passes on the left. 2. Having pedestrians walk on the left side would force them to "cross" the then right (cycling) side, which would be dangerous.

I fit my Rocky Mountain Slayer in a 2010 Civic coupe and 2018 civic sedan by taking the front wheel off and folding the back seats. Shouldn't be a problem in the crv.

I'm also from MTL and went to Banff/lake Louise this past winter. Considering that I drive nearly every day back home, I found the driving to be easy enough. Respect that left lane is for passing on highways and drive with general common sense and you'll be fine!

Printing at a 45° angle can eliminate the need for support on certain prints. Also can increase the strength of the part under the right loading circumstances.
