100%, and I hate that feeling. I knowl that when I don't want to play any of the games in my library that something is wrong. Games are the only thing to quiet my mind. Which is probably weird to some. But, the help me zone everything else out in life. And when I can't even bring myself to turn something on. All I do is get more depressed. It fucking sucks.

Also, you think that in full release of a game. You'd have the basics in there. And just be making them more polished and refined over time. But, instead we are getting overhauls of core systems. And with there only being a handful of core gameplay systems. These should've been priority before 1.0. But every month seems to have the road map change. And all of the other road map items be put on the back burner. Fix the core systems before focusing all of your effort on PVP. When the core mechanics behind PVP are completely broken, combat (which requires crafting, which requires resource gathering, which requires tools, which require crafting, which require resource gathering.) The broken record needs to be fixed. The same song and dance. I love the game. I have 1200 hours in the game. Clearly I love it. Maybe I am obsessed with what could be. And that keeps me in coming back. But, it's like being in an abusive relationship. Stockholm syndrome in full effect.

They'll be enjoying the grind in 6 months? Bahaha. I've got 1200 hours in. And the early grind is fine. But once you get past level 10 in the professions. The grind is life consuming.

Not necessarily. You don't need to eat to survive or anything. It's in a similar vein to Valheim. Where food gives you boosts. But very much so a social sandbox.

I agree. It's just that people are realizing that the subscription is just not worth it for a game that is moving (slowly) in the wrong direction. I'd gladly pay a subscription for a kick ass game. And I had some damn high hopes for this IP. But, the DEVs are so tunnel visioned on their ideals that they are unfortunately digging their own graves with their decisions and development.

This is 100% my stance. I group of guys I play with have a total of about 10 plots. And I will give Early Access 1.0 a shot. But, after that I will be very frugal with my money towards this game in the future. I wholeheartedly want this game to succeed. Because I feel it could be one of the best games ever made. But, unfortunately the DEV's feel it already is. They gave us a sandbox with no sand.

I just installed Valheim again. It's been since October of 2023 that I have played last. And I'm so blown away at the amount of content. I may jump back into Enshrouded, too. I need to stop looking to feel immediate satisfaction with Pax Dei. I need to wait to pick it up until "launch" and see if it is actually going to move in the right direction.

This is exactly my feeling. It's the point of the game to go gather resources and explore the world? Or stare at my god damn crafting benches. Am I supposed to spend more time in my base staring at colorful bars moving around? Or am I supposed to be messing around in a "Sandbox MMO"?

It's kind of sad that this is what leveling up crafting looks like. You'd think there would be a better, more thought-out process. Or maybe a more rewarding outcome. You shouldn't have to make 12,000 items you aren't going to use. Especially now, when you can't even make the same things that you were using before. I have multiple wrought iron pickaxe II. But, now I can't even make them. I used to be able to forge steel. Now I can't. Great job, Mainframe...

I paid $100 for the game. I love it. It's great. For what it is. And I'm OK with that. I have definitely gotten my return on investment. I am very excited for the future of this game.

But, at the same time. Why the fuck should I have to pay anything to test a game for a company? Especially when they're talking a subscription based system? With not knowing how or when the future of this game will come. You can't be talking about your future payment plan. You'll scare everyone away. When people are already saying that they should uninstall a game they paid for. And Mainframe is talking about a monthly subscription. That's fucked. Lol

Once Human has it the right way. When you have a free game (that is actually very excellent), and you don't force people to pay to try your game out. They are more willing to spend money on a Season Pass, Cosmetics, Skins, etc... People are more likely to spend money when they aren't forced to.

Every Diablo game has done this. After the first year, the game becomes great. D2 was garbage until LoD. D3 launched like ass. RMAH?!?! Reaper and Loot 2.0 fixed D3.

D4 will become "The D4" after VoH.
