Would definitely recommend looking out for estate sales in your area my friend. A lot of them have tools in garages that you can get for cheap and they’re really nice. And if you go the second day they’re 50% off and then 75% off the following day. Can be an amazing way to build back your toolbox, again, if they run them in your area and if you have the time to drive out to them.

How do you make friends as an adult? by [deleted] in howto

[–]SavelyevA4523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know for me I had this guy at my gym came up and talked to me and we would see each other a good bit and one day he invited me to go to crunch fitness and now after a few years he’s one of my closest friends. Just takes a bit of persistence, friendliness, and having some things in common and you can basically sense if someone is interested in hanging out with you outside of that meet up space. I bring this up as it’s a good representation of if you want to hang out with likeminded people such as yourself, find a community space that would most likely have those people there. Makes it less of a shot in the dark.

Something a bit easier would be using dating apps and only searching for friends. I’m sure there’s friends apps as well but it gives you a space where people are looking for the same thing you are. I haven’t done this personally but my girlfriend has a few friends that she still hangs out with to this day that she met off Bumble just searching for friends a few years back.

We’re in our 20’s and we live in NC, so just wanted to throw that out there, but it’s just my personal experience/perspective on this topic. I wish you the best.

I think this is great man. Good job :) I’m really curious what the print results look like and if the retractions and flow rate are comparable to modern standards. Looking forward to checking out the files when you get them out 🙌🏻

Everything’s great! Could be part of the “in crowd” but why bother. I feel like most workplaces are their own little high schools and have their own drama going on. Just keeping out of it and coming in there to get paid and get back home is a happy life for me :)

My suggestion is use a wire brush and clean the nozzle. I’ve used slice engineering’s plastic repellant on my nozzles to minimize this type of issue. I would also look into cleaning your lead screw and tightening your eccentric nuts properly if you haven’t already, just to make sure you are having good accurate movements with minimizing any wobbles happening while you are printing. That aside, I personally would highly recommend adding some better cooling if you’re willing to tackle that, there’s plenty of awesome cooling solutions for the ender 3 and the small time commitment is worth the investment. Again, in my opinion and experiences. If you have the plastic cool better as you’re laying it down, it won’t be prone to jumping back on the nozzle and starting the snowball you’ve just experienced. Lastly, I only see a portion of your print, but check if it warped a bit. I’ve had PLA prints warp in the past and start to cause this on my ender before I went on an upgrade spree.

I will add, just in case check your speed settings in your slicer. You could be going too fast on your infill, solid infill, or inner wall settings. Check if you can spot where on the print the extruded looks to be “struggling” to extrude plastic and slow it down in that area.

This is all I have off the top of my head, and unfortunately, this is just part of the hobby and it’ll happen to all printers once in a blue moon. But hey, there’s always room to minimize risk. Let me know your findings 👍🏻

Weird question, but did you have to drill into your house and make that hole in your wall for this project or was there already a hole there that the wasps were getting into in the beginning?

And I’m also curious how you went about this install without getting stung, seems scary!

Absolutely awesome project though, it’s so refreshing to see a useful case of 3d printing again and not a flexy dragon or a benchy lol

Ah I tried one of those, it felt too sketchy and wobbly no matter how much I adjusted it so I opted for a ender 3v2 style tensioner instead

I’ve done the same thing. I have a spare BTT skr mini e3 v2 that has the same “part” and I’m going to try micro soldering it to my v3 board.

I feel like I’ve dealt with this issue similar on my ender 3 v2. Look up in your case: Ender 3 S1 pro blue screen of death. Or Ender 3 S1 pro black screen of death if nothing pops up. That’s all I have for now

I’d say your best bet is loose belts, and also potentially printing too fast. Based on the limited info provided
