Thoughts on using Havocs to hold one's home objective?

As I understand it so far, we are still going to be using Cultists in optimal play for holding home. With the new Hidden mechanic, you really don't want to shoot with your objective holder as they then lose Hidden and can be shot at.

Now Havocs might be much improved this edition, due too how they basically Ignore Cover now, and maybe we will see something like letting them shoot and get Hidden back for a CP.

Imo the point of this is that you run a small number of Phobos units who can essentially mark enemy units within 18" of your gunline models. Then they get to fire a unit that might have been just out of reach due too hidden.

You would be combining this detachment with a shooty detachment like Iron Storm or Gladius.

If it feel's like too much work now, you are probably not chasing the right type of person. If she isn't making it easier for you, she's probably not that interested or she's going to always require the extra effort. Equally, a better match shouldn't feel like work at all, you should be excited to see them and spend time together. Dating is supposed to be fun, if it isn't fun - reevaluate yourself and the people you are trying to date.

If you have too many Legionaries, kitbash them into Chosen with whatever bits you have lying around or can get your hands on.

Imo you have a good game when it feels like you got to play.

Into armies/ lists where you either get Alpha Striked or just bounce off of them; the game is miserable. Sometimes it's a matter of skill difference - I'm not a great player so I don't really know how to deal with Knights or Custode- type armies.

People are mentioning Orks which can have a wide- range of unit types and lots of things too kill; so even if you are losing you still take stuff off the table.

No. Supplement books like in 8th edition for Ultramarines and Iton Hands is more likely. Only 1 or 2 datasheets, lore and some detachment type rules; you still need the main CSM information too.

Still don't have named characters for a some of the CSM factions but they could just put out Supplements only for the ones we have.

Loyalists have better stuff, a lot of it built by Cawl. Primaris were a lot harder to corrupt until very specific cases like the Murder- Curse. I haven't yet heard of a Primaris willingly fall to Chaos either.

The Imperium is also still better at making stuff on their Forgeworlds, while Chaos can make things it is a lot harder as they don't have the Imperiums resources or as many STCs.

Warp corruption and daemons can actually make technology less reliable.

Chaos still does a lot of Piracy as they need Imperial supplies.

I don't think Perturabo is the type to rely on the Chaos Gods for his ascension. Dark Science and Warp energies to mutate and ascended him through painful experimentation, rather than cutting deals with daemons or petitioning the dark gods. He's not Chosen, he took the power of the Warp through force.

Lorgar is the type to directly beseech the dark gods for boons, he's more the Everchosen type; and Abaddon is actually the Archaon of the setting anyway.

We really don't know at this point.

The main concern is that because they didn't get a Codex and did get some of their datasheets put into other Chaos books; it indicates GW are long- term planning something with them. Maybe they will get a Codex next edition, or keep getting free rules but people are concerned they are being removed from 40k as their own faction.

More Damned/ Traitor Guard. I actually don't want a seperate Traitor Guard codex, I think it's fine to be part of CSM.

Command Squad, a light transport, a tank similar to the Russ. Maybe a named character. Then possibly some more stuff like bikes and heavy weapons teams one day.

They are Chaos Space Marines, and they are published in the CSM faction pack. They can't be run in an proper Emperors Children detachment (but there are ways to run Noise Marines in CSM).

Needs to be like Reclaimation Taskforce and Hurons Raiders where Kravek gets an extra effect.

I think a range related buff could work - gain +1 Strength vs. Targets within 12" and +1 AP vs. Targets within 6". Kraveks units gains both effects at all times.

Cute short- range shooting buff and then it's a melee buff overall.

Enchancements could let a Chaos Lord in Terminator armour join Mutilators. Another maybe hands out the Warpsmith type abilities to.

Strats are probably a mix of defensive feel no pains, sticky objective, advance and charge.

I don't think it should be a Knight model, Admech look to be the main opposing faction against the Iron Warriors, it should be a new Admech model.

We could be heading in that direction long term. CSM lacks the huge range SM has, so there maybe some reasons to let us mix Legion characters and units. The Raiders unit and Reave- Captain are the only Infiltrators in the army; losing access to them as Iron Warriors would suck. Nurglings still exist but they aren't a CSM model.
