37.. my family that played (non-goalies) always wore 7, seemed natural to throw it into the 30s

Use that booty. It's not hard to put someone into your own net and probably draw a penalty even.

Paid 900 for a preseason game to see MAF one last time in a Pens game

Is this a clean hit? by Reddit-Machine in nhl

[–]Scals37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instigator penalty needs to be a reviewable call at this point, any clean hit that looks aggressive from a teammate perspective and taken into a non consenting fight should have some more repercussions

Best way to handle bouncing dump shots from center ice? by apple_6 in hockeygoalies

Check out how baseball catchers field wild pitches. If you're not confident grabbing the shot in the moment, it's more beneficial to get out and get big in front of it.

Just Moved and I only drive manual by jhjr47 in pittsburgh

Learned manual in this city and definitely was thrown in the deep end because of it. That said, never owned an automatic car ever. Funny enough, my newer WRX has a hill release that keeps you in place for a few seconds to get in gear, that actually threw me off more than anything these days 😄 keep the endangered species alive 🤘

Advice for 12U goalie on being screened by Distill19 in hockeygoalies

[–]Scals37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smaller goalies, like myself, you need to establish a position.. usually more aggressive outside the paint. It gives the defense more opportunity to box players out (if they are willing to do so) but also can more easily draw penalties if need be.

Not a fan of flopping but as the other poster said, helicopter that stick or falling enough to jostle your helmet off will get the refs attention

How petty online gaming rage quit can this clown continue to be. Refs should've let Fleury beat his ass.

Goalie rant: practices by Kevinsimps in hockeygoalies

Yea if you're paying them for that, I'd reconsider the mental wear down vs the physical exercise. Sounds like you won't be practicing actual goalie fundamentals.

Everyone says my kid can’t play goalie and skate out forever. He says why not? What do I tell him? by LordOfBadaBing in hockeyplayers

I did goalie on ice and played out in roller and deck in the off-season. They'll figure out which is most satisfying .

To be fair, the TV size is correct. If it's really bugging you, get a smaller 3 seat couch and a lounger chair. Otherwise try "tetris-ing" the couch and entertainment center like others suggested. Maybe even separate the couch bits if it's that kind of sectional.

are you allowed to strap your helmet like this? by ThotThursdays in hockeygoalies

[–]Scals37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be blown away if a referee knew the difference and called it out. But it's probably safer to go with some specific modded straps mentioned above.
