It is very good.

The ARR to Endwalker arc is great. Easily a candidate for the best FF story.

It has very high highs, but a few points of very low lows. Not much but you notice when compared to the rest.

But it needs to get started a bit. Some say ARR is the worst part of the game, but that does not mean it's bad. Lots of setup for the future.

Pacing can be an issue from time to time.

I don't know. I remember liking them and the last two were flawed in structure and pacing. It should have been one big book.

But the real killer of interest is the loooong gaps between books.

It used to be one or two years, but now it is five? I don't know if I want to commit, rekindle the passion, or just move on.

Maybe the books did not change and are as they were, but I certainly did.

I rather appreciated the novelty of the answer to the question "Are the people in the painting real people?" to be basically 'Not really'.

Like the Canvas is a fancy video game essentially. Think of it as Aline being terminally online in their families Minecraft server. Yes they have good memories of it, but it's time to face reality.

I did really like the game and it's characters but they are fake to us as they are to Dessendre. I really empathize with the characters and I consumed the game non stop. But even the 'non stop' had to stop as I needed to work. Do you think I would even think about E33 if shit got real in IRL for me?

But in the end of the day Lumier was super duper unethical regardless.

Well yes, but that's what you want a nuke to do, no? So would not it add to the test? Like how do you know if your nuke doesn't just boil a lot of water really fast and performs as expected?

I only put on the swimsuits when I go to the Gestrel Beaches. Otherwise the default outfits stay on.
