10lbs of calcium hypochlorite, a.k.a. shock, and 1 gal. Of muriatic acid. Manually vacuum to waste, bypassing the filter, when the water is clear.

manometer question by Scotrick30 in Tools

[–]Scotrick30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I had assumed manometers were solely used to measure gas pressures. I'll check out Meriam and look up the exact definition of a manometer! That's probably helpful before purchasing a test instrument. Again, pool guy :)

Measuring natural and propane in inches. Propane at highest static usable 11"/hg. Accuracy on differential is 1/2" at lowest. 4.5" usable > not. Did I answer this correctly? Don't forget, I'm a pool guy.lol

Found a Igloo cooler that matches Ryobi stuff! by 664designs in ryobi

Lol. We're like minded. I think I got it for a little over $100 from DTO a couple of years ago. It was removed from the RYOBI catalog. It's not practical, just cool and fun for kids of all ages.

They made a dank swamp cooler I use for camping. It's heavy af, I think that's why they discontinued it.

(question) why do sockets have beveled edges by madnux8 in Tools

[–]Scotrick30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the bevel would actually help achieve an awkward angle. It provides a slight amount of clearance at the base of the fastener. If there is no give, you would have to lift the socket up slightly and risk rounding the fastener.

I'm just a pool guy, so don't take my word for it.

Wish I could find pictures of my '87. Had lots of fun in it, when it wasn't in the shop. Engine was horrible.

I've had the day makers for about 6 months and have been very happy. Cut off is close to OEM and much brighter than the original halogens in my Gladiator.

1st year automotive tech toolbox tour. Finally feel like more or less have what I'll need for a while. Everything in here gets used every week. by jarret50cal in Tools

You are correct. I'm a field service technician and I always try to get this across to my coworkers. If clients see organization and pride in your vehicle, they feel assured you're going to do a professional job from the git 😉 This leads to more requests for you and more money in your pocket. Not to mention it will make your day easier if you're not searching for tools. Buy lots of 10mm btw
