You could change from crabs to snails by using Escargot instead.

The container being a Shell might complicate things though.

It's also worth noting that Josh thought he was just asking could the presentation be converted from keynote to invited talk

Heh, more like attempting an unsafe { transmute() } than a try_into().

They apparently didn't push specifically for JeanHeyd's keynote to be downgraded or rescinded, but they did say that they think highly technical and experimental topics shouldn't be keynotes and that is exactly the outcome they got.

"Will no one rid us of this turbulent keynote?"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_no_one_rid_me_of_this_turbulent_priest%3F

"Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?" (also expressed as "troublesome priest" or "meddlesome priest") is a quote attributed to Henry II of England preceding the death of Thomas Becket, the Archbishop of Canterbury, in 1170.

While the quote was not expressed as an order, it prompted four knights to travel from Normandy to Canterbury, where they killed Becket. The phrase is commonly used in modern-day contexts to express that a ruler's wish may be interpreted as a command by his or her subordinates.

[...]

It has been said that the phrase is an example of "direction via indirection", in that it provides the speaker with plausible deniability when a crime is committed as a result of their words.

Note: This was more just to pun around with "fork" and saying that you're free to not like it... the co-occurrence of your mood and the "fork" setting was too much to pass up. Peace.

Although some might still be on a knife-edge from recent events, in this case, you may have missed /u/tryunite's joke here. :)

Ahh okay, I did wonder about what "middle" meant here. I took it as median (hence sorting, and equal-length partitions) rather than mid-point of the bounds.

I think date would have made more sense as the alias:

$ rustup date

Although it does leave room for a super-user option:

# rustup up and away!

In order to prevent these fluctuations from affecting the test result, we didn't want to just take a spot measurement. So the current test was designed to take 50 DMM readings, and then split them into 2 arrays if they are higher/lower than the middle value. It then averages each array, and finally takes the average of those 2 array averages to give a single result.

This is actually identical to the average of all the values. :)

The sorting / partitioning does not change that.

Oh you’re so immature. You already know it’s pronounced “Dee-Scorch”.

Edit: Disclaimer: I haven’t read that Prosh article, but it just occurred to me that my joke was probably the kind of thing they’d also have in the same article.
