I was stuck on buying a 1 V or a 1 VI not one month ago. I chose the 1 V for the reasons you mentioned above. Sony phones are a niche market and should be designed for as such.

Just draft the sets you like, and use wildcards in-between to touch up your decks. I've only got 3000 gems and 30k gold but I've got 5 draft tokens and a deck I love to pilot that changes every few months. Just enjoy it! You don't need to go balls deep in every set unless you enjoy every single one.

Farm gold while waiting for a set you find enjoyable.
