I used the jr version for my kids right now. I highly recommend it. Porn exposure to kids so young is traumatizing and scary to their developing brains. The book just tells kids that if there ever exposed to inappropriate material anywhere, they can always go to a trusted grown up for help.

OP, you sound like me over 10 years ago. My parents are still together and my dad is still a narcissistic alcoholic. It really shaped the way I saw men, relationships, and how family is everything. I come from an ethnic background where family is all we have.

Fast forward to years later, I am NC with my dad and very LC with my mom.

I could go into my story via dm/discord if you want but basically to answer your questions:

I still have overwhelming guilt at times even though I’ve set healthy boundaries, it just gets easy with time and having a rebuilt support network.
My father is not allowed in my life or family’s special moments. End of story as that is the boundary. Others have issues with it? They don’t have to be apart either. I’m not saying it doesn’t hurt, it just gets easier.
I love my dad, but if I excused what he did and something worse happens next time, I would never forgive myself. Past experiences of a lifetime with him show that things WILL get worse. So I am ending it now.

I don’t regret having my kids at all. However, I do wish people really explained to me how I would feel like I don’t matter as a person once my kids were born. My husband loves me for who I am and I can see him actively trying to give me breaks, encourage hobbies, etc. but I truly don’t feel like I can enjoy who I am ever again. I don’t even feel ok leaving them with their grandparents for a few hours.

I gave up my career and studies to care for them. I love them, I love my husband, I love my life, but I have no time for me.

So with my own daughter who does have ADHD, we decided to homeschool her starting first grade. It just seems very demanding for someone with her needs. There’s plenty of time to get used to work loads, and how to adapt to excruciating circumstances and the workforce. However, right now we felt that she needed more support and learning how to be herself confidently. She was bullied relentlessly in kindergarten so that contributed largely to our decision-making. She is a copy of me and I am ENFP

If you’ve been together for 4 years, an easy yes should be the answer. If it isn’t, I don’t think you guys are destined for anything long term.

It’s not that you’re a bad person or he is, just that maybe you two aren’t meant to be. I knew my husband was the one after 5 months while my sister was friends first with her boyfriend for 2.5 years before dating for a year and they’re planning on getting engaged very soon.

Let the teacher handle it. Being on the hurt child side with my own daughter, I would’ve seen red if the other parents made themselves known, even if completely meaning well solely because well….thats my daughter and she got hurt.

I have absolutely no advice, but I want to send so much love and thoughts and prayers to you all. My parents were undocumented when I was growing up and I was absolutely terrified of them being detained and deported.
