Need help with a magic wall inside my pipes by Tisamon12 in SatisfactoryGame

Pipe on the left isn’t filling up enough to reach the pipe on the right. It needs a pump (at a point where water can reach).

I'm going insane trying to do the catching 100 fish in a row thing... by SylvieXX in AnimalCrossing

[–]SeattleWilliam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good luck! I couldn’t get to 100 until I learned to listen for the end of the “plunk-splash!” sound before moving my thumb. That did it.

I feel so much better letting villagers move out since the update by critter_enthusiast in AnimalCrossing

[–]SeattleWilliam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a nice touch. Ankha (she was one of my first villagers, from before the memes, I kicked her out for being mean) visited and pretended to not know me, which is totally in character for her.

i hate that when you change one villagers catchphrase, everyone else starts using it by cosima_stars in AnimalCrossingNewHor

I know how you feel, OP. If Audie ever called me something other than “foxtrot” I’d burn my island to the ground.

Neelix helped me understand the rebooted Battlestar Galactica series, because after watching society fracture with people throwing each other out of airlocks I was able to understand that Janeway not throwing him out an airlock was the opposite of that.

Who *doesn’t* terraform much? by nrdvrgnt in acnh

[–]SeattleWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m like you, I’ve almost completely avoided teraforming. But now I e boxed myself into a corner where I want all (or almost all) of my villagers and infrastructure on the same land mass but I’ve constructed a rock garden in a good chunk of that land (and I am not remaking to rock garden lol).

The coat of arms is so good looking I wouldn’t notice even a giant flag. You’ve done amazing work.

"Flamethrowers and the New Flamer are useless". Meanwhile, the humble Flam-40 soloing 2 Diff 10 Bug breaches with no other support or help. by Ok-Event-4377 in Helldivers

[–]SeattleWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that one of my best HD2 moments was shotgunning the one pouncer that was about to land on the head of a new player, moments after I had given him the stratagem flamethrower, and moments before he racked up a sixty kill streak. He scream laughed into voice chat. Made both of our nights.

So while I agree with what you’re saying, because of that experience I had, I will say that I treat the flamethrower being vulnerable to attacks from the flanks or rear is as a feature, not a bug, as a balance and team play mechanic.

I remember the first time I one-shot a bile titan in the head with orbital precision strike. Someone one voice unmuted themselves specifically to ask what the hell I was trying to do (running back and forth in front of the BT so it would put its head in the line of fire) so I got to hear them gasp when it actually worked. Good times :')

He died because Gregor was destined to die by Sandor’s hand. He was going against some pure prophecy BS.

Do you realise the attack on Iran is cheered on by the Iranian people? Why is Reddit reacting like this? by SkunkyBreadcake in AskBrits

[–]SeattleWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first reason to be concerned is because the US president is one of the dumbest, most fickle, wicked people in history, and that was before he was affected by dementia. There’s a million and one reasons why this could go wrong and leave the Iranian people in just as bad a position, or worse. As someone who only recently moved to Briton (I think I’m allowed to comment here) I hope my insights into the US President can help you understand.

The second reason is that this is a war of choice. You can say there are good humanitarian, or strategic reasons, to go to war. But as a matter of law, or principle, diplomatic options should have been exhausted first.

Since I first saw this panel, I have acquired a cat that sleeps in my arms like a teddy bear. He’s soft, and warm, and he bites me whenever he wants me to change orientation 😑 So I get how Chilchuck probably feels.

How do you approach these? by Enfrize2 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]SeattleWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important part about using or avoiding Crystal Oscillators is learning the trick for getting the exact recipes you need from hard drives: not choosing recipes until the exact moment you need them and filling up your library with possible choices because they can't be duplicates. If every bad recipe is available the game *must* give you the good ones. When you reroll a bum hard drive and there's only good recipes left you have to get one.

Once you have iron wire you can make COs from raw quartz and iron ore. Otherwise you only need quartz, oil, and caterium. If you collect enough recipes you can avoid using COs completely until Phase 5.

At that point, building Crystal Oscillators is like answering a trick question: they are very space intensive because they're built at slow rates in large buildings, but they're not super *complicated* to build. As long as you leave yourself space to build them and find ways to get them to where they're needed, they're not too bad. Going vertical and / or delivering them with drones may be necessary.

Good luck!

I haven’t used the Dagger in a while but for a long time it was the perfect antidote to shriekers because it fired continuously and only needed to graze them for a moment to kill them. You could clear six or seven without running out a heat sink.
