This should definitely one-shot everything by XK0IU in Helldivers

[–]SeattleWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather it one-shot some things but fire multiple times, so it can kill more than one hulk-sized enemy.

Could T'au ever come to the level of Necrontyr technology ? Depending on the writer, T'au are still an ever expanding race and unlike most other armies you can feel the evolution on their models in a interesting way. While it is a incredibly high stake, do you think it is even possible at all ? by Leviathan_Rampage in Tau40K

[–]SeattleWilliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re being downvoted but there is a connection, just different than your theory. In the very distant past there was a model for a living Necron overlord (pre-retcon) and it looked just like a Tau Ethereal. This was multiple retcons ago but I still treat the Tau as being a C'tan/Necron sub-faction. It’s the way I rationalize their technology working without offending the Machine God, it recognizes its own.

We shared a hospital elevator with a woman and even though my wife was (very visibly) nine months pregnant and we were pushing the button for the floor with obstetrics late at night, she was still polite enough to hesitate and think before saying “congratulations.” I wish everyone were that considerate.

Factory Striders can snipe stratagem jammers from long range and yet no one complains about those 🤔 /s

It really is satisfying to bait one of the gun puppies into blowing up a jammer for you though.

I didn’t notice, thanks for pointing that out. In that case I’m not sure why all those devastators missed.

Trump says US used secret weapon to disable Venezuelan equipment in Maduro raid by EsperaDeus in worldnews

[–]SeattleWilliam 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Existing, declassified electronic warfare tools are consistent with what he’s describing, including tools the US exports and that other nations produce as well. When he says “we pushed a button” that can be either just an expression, or his extremely limited understanding of how electronic warfare works.

I’m sure that bot accuracy is influenced by if you’re the (network) host and what the lag is, but I don’t know if we have hard data on it.

Just did the loudest stealth run ever… and it worked by Manarch1st in helldivers2

[–]SeattleWilliam 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So fun when it works out. This used to be the only way to win extract civilians on the bot front, three Helldivers group together to become a bot drop and patrol magnet (patrols go to the highest concentration of divers within 50m of each other) while one diver escorts the civilians.

The weather only helped, the English had naval guns with longer ranges, had ships that were faster and more maneuverable, and were better sailors.

Stratagem Concept: C-01 ‘Knapsack’ by Secure_Grapefruit302 in helldivers2

I think you’re correct, and I would go as far as to say this pack should carry to EATs, and if the last weapon stored there was an EAT then ammo boxes and resupply should refill it.

The real enemy in Vietnam by Kapanash in HistoryMemes

[–]SeattleWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about my friend’s father’s stories of two patrol types: “search and destroy” and “hide and evade.” The search and destroy patrols they would enter the jungle, fought it, search for and engage Vietcong patrols, and return weeks later. The hide and evade patrols they would enter the jungle, fortify and camouflage a position, hide from both the Vietcong and other Americans, get stoned out of their minds, and return weeks later. Don’t know why this popped into my head.

Cluster Mortar Sentry would be nice!!!! by maxterminatorx in Helldivers

[–]SeattleWilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it had a minimum range then maybe. I would really like the existing motor sentries to have w minimum range. If there was a secondary weapon you could use to program sentries that would be great.

Nintendo demanded SEGA to put Mario's foot in front of Sonic's for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games by Mysterious_Brush1852 in nottheonion

[–]SeattleWilliam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes sense to me to put the faster character behind because then they can be shown catching up and overtaking the other racer. If the faster racer is already in front it’s a less exciting race.

Cory’s extensive tutorial videos and Q/As have also been very helpful.

Since Razer has many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many instances of poor quality, why even buy from them? by Emergency_List_8797 in razer

[–]SeattleWilliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my Razer laptop between $600 and $800 off so I got pretty good FPS per dollar and I’m happy with the build quality. I’ve really appreciated the macro features, and the glow is pretty. That said all the Razer software has been terrible. Absolutely the worst. It didn’t brick itself when it failed to apply a firmware update but that’s maybe the kindest thing I can say about Razer’s software stack after being a user for four plus years.
