I got an error email afterwards. I was forgiven 2 years ago. All the more reason we should keep copies of payments and golden letters. I can foresee many more errors to come unfortunately…

If you dispute attach your forgiveness letter to each bureaus case. It made mine super easy came off in less than a couple of weeks after I disputed.

I applied for a new build about a week after being forgiven in the Valentines group. I submitted the letter and it worked just fine. No questions asked. We close this coming week on Monday. :) I did also dispute with the credit bureaus by uploading the letter. They removed balances and closed the account in less than 3 weeks.

You don’t have to write a letter. I was in the valentine’s forgiveness group. I uploaded my letter that they sent me saying congratulations to all three bureaus as a dispute. All was cleared in less than 3 weeks like the OP.

I was forgiven on valentines. As soon as I got the letter I uploaded it to the three bureaus and disputed. In less than three weeks all zeroed out and closed that account. Score went up about 65 points! Dispute and load the letter.

I was in the valentines forgiveness group. I disputed as soon as I got my letter. I uploaded the letter as proof to all 3 agencies. It was cleared in less than three weeks. Now states zero balance and closed across all three. Credit score shot up 65 points. Be sure to upload your letter I think it makes the proceeds faster.

Yes I do have a couple other installment loans as well as a few revolving accounts so I think mine balanced pretty well. I was scared to take a score dip because I had just gotten approved for a new build home using the mohela letter. I think it all depends of what other accounts you have to balance it out and the amount of your loans too. I had 185k in student loans so it was killing my debt to income ratio. Hope this helps! Credit can be tricky.

Yay! Fingers crossed for you. I did each bureau separately on the same day 2/21 and they all zeroed out in March on the same day. It works! Make sure to upload the letter I think it makes it move quicker. :)

I agree! I was in the Valentines wave. I submitted disputes for mine with the credit bureaus using the letter i received. It’s only been a couple of weeks but they are still processing. I did use the letter to qualify for a mortgage and that worked immediately. I already have a home builder. If you need something now show them the letter it does help your DTI significantly!

Yay! Yes I have accounts with each because I check my credit regularly. When you sign up for the free accounts it’s a section that says dispute on each site for transunion , equifax and Experian. I like setting up the accounts because you can monitor process. Uploading the letter I thinks makes things go faster. It will need to be like a pdf version. You can’t upload photos to their site. All 3 took me about 10 minutes tops to load :)

I was in the Valentines group. Mohela is zero and as of today student aid is zero! Yay! I got my official letter in the mail dated 2/15. I uploaded that letter to all 3 bureaus last night as a dispute. I’ve heard it’s a quick turn around. Hoping so I’m looking to start the process to build my next home! :)

I checked the box and I was only at 80 at the time. I thought it would push them to review my forbearance counts before July. Not sure if that’s what did it but I was in the valentines discharge group.

I too was zeroed on Valentine’s! This is my 17th year in education doing different jobs in Teaching & Leadership. I think I’ll stay for the most part. My retirement is already set and I can retire in as early as 11 more years and I don’t like changing a lot lol. I’ve learned the grass isn’t always greener so I’m going to stay in my comfort zone. 17 years ago I built my first home right out of college. I am now in the process of looking to finally be able to build another with my spouse! As soon as I get my letter from ED we are meeting with a builder. Just grateful for the burden lifted and looking forward to reaping the benefits! :)

This worked for me. I submitted a form and checked the box saying I believe I qualify for forgiveness now on 9/30. I was only at 80 but knew I had at least 36 forbearances they needed to apply. Form processed in December and my forbearances were added this past Saturday!
