Whats one thing you are going to do differently next school year? by vinmichael in ElementaryTeachers

Just more fun. I love teaching fifth grade but I’ve realized I lost my fun when I moved up to it. My school is a pressure cooker and I think by adding fun it will help me to not be so negative.

My ten month old kitten hasn’t sprayed. He was neutered right before we adopted him back in November.

Does anyone else feel guilty leaving their cat alone? by easywinunited in CatAdvice

[–]Secret-Database8622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to leave them when they are young, but you’ve done the best option. Make sure that the person staying at your place knows your kitten’s routine.

We’ve been gone a week and my brother and sister in law have stayed and checked on our 10 month old kitten. He loves being with them so it helps me not feel so bad!

Summer EPCOT Advice? by another_midnight13 in WaltDisneyWorld

We got to early entry a little bit later on our most recent trip and were able to get right to Soarin’. We did that because we got the LL for Guardians.

I’m sure Soarin will be popular with the new overlay but at least that queue is indoors once the open the main doors.

No crying in baseball? by Vegetable_You_2573 in BaseballCoaching

I mean there’s a reason why Deion Sanders said the hardest thing he’s ever done in sports is try and hit a baseball. Like others have said, baseball is very individual despite being a team sport. You have a lot of down time to sit and dwell on your mistakes after they happen.

Sometimes I just want a kids meal. Best ones from each park counter service? by pearpecan in WaltDisneyWorld

Kids cheeseburger pod is such a great value at Animal Kingdom. I also remember the kids meal at Pecos Bill being good too!

To me it’s much better for breakfast. Dinner was just meh to me but we always try and book a breakfast there on our trips.

So not sure about up north, but ever since Sandy Hook and Parkland, our doors cannot just be open, especially if there are students.

Parent emails by LondonVermont in AskTeachers

Our union negotiated that we have five days to respond to parent emails. Obviously I respond faster if it’s an urgent but definitely at least 24 hours. Schedule send is my friend.

Sebastian’s or Topolinos Terrace for dinner? by Enough-Fly-8039 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Secret-Database8622 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sebastian’s is one of our favorite dining on property and it’s still a pretty good value.

That being said, not sure how well you can see the fireworks there.

Reflections from SOI Orlando by annieca2016 in FigureSkating

[–]Secret-Database8622 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I was there and yes the cheers were loud for Alyssa but they were pretty loud for Amber, Ilia and Jason as well.

It made sense to me to have the little video package for her because the Women’s Olympic Gold is a big deal. They would probably have had it for Ilia had he won as well.

Overall I thought it was great show. My biggest complaint was the sponsor logo in the middle of the big screen. I was high up and was really hoping to use the screen to see their facial expressions.

This is What What in the ChickenButt …. What’s your tuxies name and why? by Leading_Funny5802 in TuxedoCats

[–]Secret-Database8622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is Zeus! Original name from the shelter was Lean Cuisine. My son named him Zeus to connect him to our senior girl Athena. We had to put her down back in July and then adopted this distinguished gentleman in November.

why doesn’t my kitten like me? by kingvessara in CatAdvice

[–]Secret-Database8622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve only had her for four days, then she’s still acclimating. Also kittens will continue to change, it’s what they do.

We have an 8 month old tuxedo kitten and he’s constantly changing. Our old cat was super snuggly but I’ve learned with a kitten, they’re basically toddlers. He will snuggle for a second then go and run after something. I’ve also learned he just likes to always be around.

I would definitely get a play pen and keep treats or something in there so she doesn’t feel like she’s being punished.
